Face coverings are obligatory on public transport (small ferry boat here) but not in crowded streets - go figure.....
The rules in the UK are bonkers and change on a daily basis. Even our so called leaders don't know the policies they are setting for regional hotspots.
Colin the rules are “bonkers” here also. Left to local discretion fear and paranoia exist in some regions and “laissez faire” attitudes exist in others. Surprisingly, the statistics for infection remain constant no matter what area you are in. Robin and I refuse to have life put on hold and continue to travel thankfully without any Covid symptoms. We take vitamin D and wash our hands a bit more than usual.
Have four friends in their seventies all better after contracting Covid. One guy hospitalized for several days the others recouped at home.
From the very beginning Covid’s contagion is no worse than the ordinary flu. It’s consequences to people with pre existing conditions is far worse. My opinion is that the lockdowns are a bit reactionary but who am I to doubt the wisdom of some of our learned leaders. But, life has to go on! Cheers!

Hardly surprising then that your President has contracted the virus. Interesting timing given the looming election.
As I see the old film cameras coming out of storage I wonder why we hanker after film. For me colour film was a nuisance as I had virtually no control over the process once I'd handed the film in to the lab. Even with relatively primitive digital cameras the results SOOC were very good and basic processing with software gave very pleasing results.
This poppy shot using the sunny 16 rule on my D70 and my 80-200 f4 today under heavy overcast is about as good as I could expect from film in my N80 and it's immediate
We experienced glorious autumnal weather last weekend in Cornwall.
A short stroll to stretch the legs after a 4 hour journey to get to the in-laws house.
The creek is at the end of a long estuary so is tidal and very muddy.
You need to know where the channel is when you take a boat out at high water.
Ha-ha. You said what I was thinking but didn't dare say it given there is bound to be a mixture of pro and anti Trump supporters on this thread.

I learned from listening to experts and stories from my friends (which is anecdotal) that there are various strains of this virus. Two had no respiratory issues only losing their sense of taste and smell. One respiratory but not severe but was hospitalized and the other mild respiratory symptoms.
This is a world wide issue that has no political stripe although it’s handlers seem to have put their own spin on it. I personally wish everyone well. Life must go on!

I agree with you Ken - it should never have been politicized.A National rational response should have been put in place to cope with a worst case scenario whcih could then have been relaxed on an orderly basis as the knowledge of the impact and alternative treatment protocols developed.
Watching Boris Johnson switching from pillar to post is just as exasperating as the antics of the US federal and state administrations.
In SA we had very strict lockdown regulations for a couple of months which have been gradually relaxed as we have established the infrastructure to deal with it and enforced social distancing and mask wearing in public. It wasn't popular but considering that no-one in the world knew the extent of the danger I believe we did the right thing from a public health if not economic point of view
Fall colors are beginning to come on in the Park this week (Glacier NP). It hasn't peaked, but there are clumps of both yellow and green trees. Unfortunately, the one day that hasn't been sunny for the past week! Sunny from now on again, so may have to go bak up there on Sunday.
Here is an image from along McDonald Creek, below Going-To-The_Sun Road. It is an 8x10 portrait crop from a 35mm landscape - so it is actually closer to 50mm perspective.
It was fun taking the Df out for a spin again (it was whining in the cupboard!).
Best wishes for a great Autumn in the Northern Hemisphere, and fo a great Spring in the South!
I posted a different image of McDonald Creek on the Df site
Cheers
Doug
PS - I exported this from Lightroom as a tif then resized a jpeg from it. The tif is certainly sharper than this jpeg. Is that an artifact of downscaling, or the upload to FM?
I have had three 85mm 1.8 for a while, but rarely use them. They are great lenses, really some of the best and a very useful focal length. One of the three I own, a K version, is a little dusty and non-ai. I pulled it out of storage and cleaned it up fairly well. These K lenses are hard to work on as Nikon nearly glued all the threads.
I tested it on the Z6, where it will be used as non-ai.
I stepped out of the door to take a few shots when I spot the pretty sunset. Saw an egret and quickly put my 16mm f3.5 into infinity and fired several shots. Got a decent one to share.
