Sorry, I just can't seem to shake this monochrome phase
I'm a firm believer in "no sky, no photo" and I feel skies just look better in B&W.

Great set Gary.

Around here, "no sky, no photo" would be truly devastating on clicking the shutter, grey overcast skies are killer whether color or B&W!

You got that right I'm only a little ways down the road from you so I feel your pain.

I had a Z9 and a Z50. I wasn't using the Z50 much so I gave that to my grandson and I picked up an OM-5 just to have something small and light and I wanted to try something different after 25 years with Nikon. That led me to an OM-1 and the Olympus 100-400 that I was shooting alongside the Z9 and Z180-600. I found more and more that I was leaving the Z combo home and taking the OM instead because of size and weight. The OM-1 has comparable AF and a stacked sensor so the only thing I was giving up was resolution. That led me to giving up my Z system completely. There are times when I miss that extra edge in image quality but it's such a fun and effortless system to shoot. It's brought back the joy of photography for me. I have an OM-1 and also an OM-1 MKll. I'm considering trading the OM-1 for the new Pen. I think that little body would be even more enjoyable when out on the streets.

Online your pics on OM look every bit as good as Nikon.

I was thinking either OM-1 mark II or OM-3 with a grip for only longer lenses. 2 or 3 primes and 100-400.

Small is very appealing especially walking with kids and during my day job.

I’d keep Nikon around for low light and events and portraits

I have to say that shooting the OM-3 and the 50-200/2.8 IS without a grip isn't difficult at all. I thought it might be, but I don't find it so. I have the OM-3, 12-45/4, 20/1.4, and the 50-200/2.8 IS and that makes for a pretty nice setup. The 50-200 isn't quite fast enough, but has the IQ, to replace any portrait lenses.

Thanks Rich. I've got a few 18x24s hanging in my office from the OM-1 alongside some from the Z9 and I'm perfectly happy with them.

Sunlight at her back and mom holding a single reflector to my left. I used to use flash for fill with my Nikons just because it was so easy. Not so with OM System so I've been relying on reflectors which I'm finding I prefer.
