I was photographing a bushtit nest at the edge of the forest when I thought I heard and saw movement just inside the forest.
A large bear was about 50 feet away from me. It saw me and moved a bit closer while looking straight at me. It chattered its teeth a couple of times, which from the past I have learned they will give as a warning. If this warning is not heeded, they will then often charge.
Needless to say, I was not about to check all my camera settings as I shot off a few frames before slowly walking backwards while keeping my eyes on the bear at all times. A number of shots were completely out-of-focus as the camera tried to focus on a black subject in the shade.

First time using my OM1m2 with Live Composite.
Great lighting storm with no rain until the front passed over, then downpour, hail, 60 mph gusts and a few tornadoes.
