I am used to shooting with 50mpx full frame cameras. However, the more I shoot the D-Lux 8 the more comfortable I get with the M 4/3 image quality. I am finding that It is excellent even with my little point and shoot Leica camera for most use cases. Here are a variety of images (in a couple I have used the tiny included fill flash) at various ISO settings (some really low light). Current editing software allow us to mitigate most of the M 4/3 limitations.

Ronny, perhaps it's different conditions or a change in processing, but overall I'm seeing something different in the 300mm f4 images vs the 100-400 images that I like a lot!

Almost all my recent photos are with 150-400 the expensive lens I have written and put some pictures in the thread if it is worth an upgrade to this one
all are taken now and the photos with 300 are from past summer
then most of the pictures are taken with 150 -400, so the ISO range is 4000- up to 20000 .. I don't blame anything but the conditions are probably not quite the same .. but clearly the 300 is a good lens but not nearly as useful as 150-400 zoom and the built-in tc

Glad you are enjoying the D-Lux 8. I am still waiting for my D-Lux 8 back-order.
Agree w/ your comments. I switched after years with Sony (lastly the A7R5) to MFT. Your photos reinforce that the best way to create a great image is to be a good photographer and understand composition, light, context, etc.
My OM1M2 is a great outdoors activity body (EDC is 12-40/2.8 or if weight is important, 12-45/4) and I am enjoying my recent Pen-F acquisition (EDC is 12-32) as my "in-civilization" kit . At this point, I really am enjoying using both of these bodies (ergonomics and results)
Have used C1 for a while and recently tested DXO PL 8 with the OM ORFs. There are some Pros and Cons for both apps but the DXO optics corrections and denoise is amazing so I switched.
I have written and put some pictures in the thread if it is worth an upgrade to this one
