I added the MC-20 to my kit (it is on sale now, for CAD $399.99). I took a few photos today, on my way to work.
While my expectations were not high, I actually liked shooting the 300mm & 2x TC at 600 mm.

The naked lens gives a truly outstanding image quality, and the degradation with TC-20 seems to be minimal.
I like taking tif files processed from raw in DxO PL7 to Topaz Photo AI where the "Adjust Lighting" and "Sharpen" tools often add useful enhancements.
(The 40-150 mm F2.8 lens, which is outstanding at 150 mm, seems to work equally well with TC-20 to give 300 mm F5.6 with similarly minimal loss of IQ)
