Just for fun I picked out my very seldom used MC W HH Rokkor 35/1.8 on my 5D MKII and went to the local market. This combo is limiting as the lens hits the 5D mirror at infinity and longer distances. I did not bother with Live View as this was a very casual outing. Still I like the colors and rendering.
All shots taken at f/1.8 or at f/2.8 with most at 2.8, ISO 200...

How do you like it? If Metabones ever releases the Minolta SB this would be the first or second lens i'd buy.
beautiful images as always!
the 85/1.7 is extremely nice. it draws very similarly to the MC 50/1.4, unfortunately it also has the same weakness as the MC 50/1.4 – hexagonal aperture!
i'm afraid i've not given it much of workout yet, haven't had much chance to shoot with it yet and what i have shot has been contrived forced shots to try and get a feel for it. here are a few wide open:

True, but, A, if you spent the last week shooting with the Fujinon 35/2.8, six whole aperture blades sounds luxurious and, B, it's sharp (enough) wide open at portrait lengths that the number of blades becomes a non-issue in most situations.
Beautiful shots from both you and Phillip, but I love the one of Mini-E on the trike (she's getting less mini... in a year or so she'll have caught up with Elton's actual height and can wear his Captain Fantastic costume).
After being disappointed with my first Rokkor, I had fallen in love again now that I got a 300mm 4.5 and a MD 50mm 1.4
The following shots were with the 50mm and the one with the girls was with the 300mm handheld from the same spot I did the others.
