But I need adapters to use the 21mm and 100mm lenses....

I'll have to keep an eye out for the 100.

Minolta MD Zoom 35-70mm f/3.5 (non macro version) 55mm filter. Shot at f/8 on Sony Nex 5n
This lens is amazing to me. It reminds my of my old Contax C/Y 35-70

Minolta MD Zoom 35-70mm f/3.5 (non macro version) 55mm filter. Cross-posted
I just doesn't seem possible that this cheap zoom lens should perform this well.

ebookman - those are great shots from the zoom. Can you post some wide open shots as well?
I love the way the rokkors draw.IMO they are more of an artsy lens.

Agree. The more I use Rokkors the more I like them.Their rendering style is unique and beautiful, especially late MC lenses from 1973-1977.

I'm planning short trip abroad next week. The first one when Zeiss lenses will be left at home and only Rokkors go with me.

Very nice picture Jim.

Here are three shots sharing the same point of focus, all taken with the Nex 5n and the Minolta Zoom MD 35-70mm wide open at f/3.5

The focal lengths are 35mm, 50mm and 70mm so you can see the extremes and the middle range. The PP shared the same preset in Lightroom 4.

I would only add that Minolta lens have very good colors. Im not sure if they have accurate colors in technical terms, but I always found them quite beautiful. Thats one thing I miss with modern day Sony lens. Plus unlike Minolta, Sony lens arent exactly color consistent..

Your lovely daughter looks so sweet through 28/2 sebboh.

Fast Rokkors are best of the late MC bunch.Crisper and clearer than their slower counterparts.Beeing on the trip now and took a few MC Rokkors with me.Having some previous experience with MC 28/2,85/1.7,58/1.2 and 50/1.4 I discover now how crisp and clear are images from 35/1.8 , that I had not used much before.
