Beautiful capture Brian, can't say much for the critter. There were probably hundreds within 50 feet and this guy had the best seat in the house and wasn't about to give it up...

Magnificent shot...lots of fine detail and the weasel is an extra bonus. Well captured!!
Question ; how do you get the flowers so bright and colorfull at the opposite side from the natural lightsource.....do you use fill flash or some dodging (photoshop)?
I did dodge the bush, probably a little to much with the top of the bush. A shade darker would tie it in better. The sky colors were nice. The weasel stayed there for a few minutes, then scampered off when I tried to do a closeup with my wide angle. He was pretty cute as Weasels go I guess
Very cool! I can't say I have ever seen a weasel out in the wild, so that is really cool. And it's awesome that you got a landscape to add in there too...

Ok Thanks for the reply. Every bit of information is welcome.....i need it to improve my own skills and the road is long.
Love the shot and the story. Never seen a weasel in the wild before. Not too many around here. Saw a ring tail cat once in the nearby hills, no weasels though. Nice shot with or without him.
