Edward - really like the second one on the previous page! The one above too!
Leonas - DNG converted in LR5. Sized to 1000 pixels wide with PhotoMechanic with sharpening for both. I didn't go too crazy with tone curve adjustment, contrast, clarity, etc. for those two. But overall, for urban scenes without people, I'm finding my tendency with the M240 is to really push the files harder than I did with the M9. If the M9 was always higher in contrast with dark shadow values I was constantly opening up, the M240 is nearly the opposite. I think I'm still finding my way with it, and at the moment, it kind of reminds me of when I first started with the M9 and ZM lenses - I went for a really hard look. It also seems that what I see in LR is slightly different, in terms of tonality and color vibrancy, than in other apps... with the files looking a bit flatter than what I recall them being in LR. Pretty sure I have color management correctly implemented and the other apps are definitely color management aware. Display has also been calibrated recently... I also agree with Edward that pushing M240 files hard brings out the grain, though I don't find it objectionable because it has a fairly fine, random quality.
Anyway, here are a couple to show off a new 'Japanese salon' hairstyle. Taken with the 50 Lux ASPH. First is at near MFD, the second around 1m. Last one was with the 28 Cron cropped a bit... no sharpening for the first two and LR5 adjustment was gentler than my current, normal M240 approach.
Ron - nice set. Nothing like downing a jug of beer after a long afternoon of shooting Timmies cups.... Purely Canadian. PS - get rid of that snow pls before I come out to Toronto next week. It's been around +15C here for a few days which has been great!
Ron, lovely portraits, first two. Last one is a fun shot.
Edward, liked the BW shots from the Planar. Very modern look.
Michael, looks like spring has arrived. cool shots.
Charlie, great to the see the photos from different lenses as a comparison. Are you liking the 90 Summarit enough to keep it? I liked the 2nd and 3rd shots on previous page.
Ryan, awesome black and whites. 2nd is my favorite. I have a very similar shot but its not with the Leica. Last one is a nice moment to capture.
Gary, as usual, awesome landscape, love the first one. amazing presence.
Peter, spectacular mountain images. Takes me there looking at them. The caption to the first one is fitting. 2nd one is an awesome image. What a peaceful moment!
Mirek, nice moment captured. its happy hour for the kids
Allen, great images from the street. #2 (lines pointing 'this guy') and #3 (lady at pedestrian crossing) are just too good. You have a great eye to spot (create) these images.
leonas, the shots from the 35fle are superb. the one of the the baskets on the street is beautiful. Fabulous colors.
Charles, loved the first one with the 50cron rigid. sweet shot.
AshNZ, the images from Key West look vibrant.
Sorry if i missed out anyone.
Thats what happens when you dont check on this thread often. Too much to catch up.
Traveling this week so posting a few with quick edits and vsco 04 preset and then tweaking it.
All taken with the uc-hexanon 35mm at Jaisalmer. EDIT: Must be the beer, but the first two are using the 50cron rigid, last two using the uc-hexanon 35.

Some images from the Hearst Castle, no longer feel that I need to take the Sony RX1 for the difficult shots. It is always difficult to make an iconic place interesting when there a million photos of it.
Upon arriving to the Castle, Leica M and SEM 24mm
A great way to use the dynamic range, Leica M and SEM 24mm
B/W conversions are really smooth with the Leica M
Salvador - love the colors of the interiors.
Thomas - very interesting character!
Manoj - very picturesque!
Leonas - you're getting really great results straight out of the camera. I never really liked the M9's white balance, though admittedly I always left it on auto because I shoot DNGs... Same feeling with the M240... sometimes I like the results, other times it shifts too magenta, especially in monochromatic scenes.
Gary - I'll see what I can do! They were calling for rain tomorrow, but now it looks like it might not, though it will be fairly warm. Doubt it will be enough to clear out the latest accumulation...
A sword fight I happened upon while walking past the Eaton Centre back to the salon... M240 & 28 Cron
Nice Ron. It is amazing at what situations can arise whilst walking the streets.... Here is a vertical composition of that sunrise shot I posted a few days ago. This was just before the sky lit up in color and I kind of wish I would have taken it with those nice, pink clouds.
