Phil - real nice B&W. I like the softer feel to this one...
Robert - Pull the trigger! Or pick up a used M9 to try out. I noticed a few here on Kijiji now....
Charles - I echo everyone else's comments - amazing capture. One of those moments where you probably didn't think much of it at the time but once you saw it on you monitor - wow!
Edward - very nice set! Your PP (and colours) is so consistant and these look great. Love the first one a lot.
Joakim - nice to see you! Great street captures.
Brian - Real nice to see your experimental work.
Najibs - those two lenses look to be very nice! Look forward to seeing more from you....
Not much from me today.... -44C with wind chill. brrrrrrrrr.
I have been enjoying the creativity of the photographers on this thread for awhile now. Recently acquired an M9 and would like to contribute
Here is my first attempt to post an image on FM made with my new to me M9 and old to me 50mm Summicron. I hope the sizing etc., are all acceptable.
As I understand it: A Dual-Range Summicron can be used in the close-up mode on the Digital M series cameras, it is in "normal" mode that the second cam interferes with the light baffles, "or something". One solution is to find a Type I Rigid Summicron with bad glass and use the focus mount with the DR lens, the lens unscrews from the focus mount. You need to shim it correctly, but it will work.
Thank you everyone for the very kind comments and likes. Very much appreciated
Edward, very much enjoying the images with the M240 now!!! How great it is just to use all your M lenses, like the great ZM 25.
Joakim, wonderful images, even the selfie!
Brian, very nice comparisons!
Najibs, congrats on the M9 and lenses. Nice set
Hanexp, welcome and very images!
Gary, really nice shot! Love the 21 SEM too
Phil and Brian, the 50 Cron Rigid DR modified, seamlessly focuses from infinity down to 47cm. The macro mode, is from 1m to 0.47m, which when modified, there is no stop, but you do revert to using LV or the EVF. The DR must be modified for the M9/M240 otherwise the the near cam will damage the internals of the later M's. The near cam needs to be milled, so it will fit with no interference, and the latch separating the range 1m to infinity and macro range 0.47m to 1m is removed. The RF for normal range 1m to infinity is very accurate, but of course the RF for the near range no longer works. This modification only takes a couple days, and costs about 250-300 AUD. I have also the Rigid version, made of aluminium, but DR is made of solid brass, amazing engineering. The engineering between the two there is no comparison. The DR is better engineered than just about any lens I have seen recently, for a lens that is 50 years old.

Love the back lit flag and the reflected light pattern.
How do you like the M9?
Thanks for the kind comments, likes, and for asking about the M9. I could spill a lot of ink or light up a lot of pixels confessing my love for this camera. My experience is with film, 35mm and large format (mainly package illustration). I used to shoot R cameras and lenses but eventually became familiar with M cameras for personal work. Still love my M6. I was using a Sony 5n with my old R and M lenses. That worked out well but I longed to shoot FF and also to escape the left brain obstructive involvement with Sony menus. I tried a Sony A7 with the Leica lenses but was underwhelmed by corner smearing, vignetting and strange color artifacts. I finally acquired a used, but perfect, M9 from a FM member this year. The three images I posted were shot the first day I had the camera. It fits my purpose perfectly, just as the M6. It is perfectly familiar and intuitive, though I still have a great deal to learn about it. Love the speed of use, the precision of focus, ease of exposure. I now carry it with one summicron mounted on it and the other on the M6 loaded with B&W.
Charles.K: Lovely shots with the DR. I loved the first one on the previous page. As Phil pointed out, lovely shades of gold. I liked the composition on the first shot of the violinist with book and wine on left and the musician on the right. nice shot of Cous Cous as well
Charlie: nice shots with the 21SEM. last one is magnificent. 4th one is a funny. nice concept. How much PP work is needed to get rid of the color cast with this lens?

hanesp: nice first shots. Liked the above statement.
Phil: nice one with the 28cron. nice soft tones. CMP sounds interesting.
Brian: Beautiful shots with the Nikkors. Loved the last one for the composition.
Gary: Yellowstone looks amazing. Beautiful color palette.
Edward: Lovely street images as usual. Loved the first one of the soldier. No objections from him while photographing him? Its a strict no-no here. (ok, I read your comment following the image) I agree completely about the focusing using the RF.
joakim: loved the BWs. 3rd is my favorite and nice selfie too.
Najib: awesome images. Lovely light and beautifully processed.
Michael: as usual, wonderful images from China. beautiful atmospheric shots.
Katie: lovely images. 4th one is my favorite. loved the 3rd one too.
few shots from around here. nothing special.Total "left side brain" week.
All with the 50 cron V4 from a friend.
