Adam, very nice portrait.
Allen, great street photos. Man going down to subway station(?) and skateboard and dogs are my favorites
Peter, great colors
Phil, girl in white dress is excellent and I like the next one too
Charles, I like the taxi and also what you did with the colors in the portrait.
Ryan, great photos of your son and daughter. I like what you done in post with the photos.
I continue with my b&w conversions, this time it's flowers. 90 Elmarit and 50 Summilux.

Ryan I like the second shot the best, the Nokton is better then I'd imagine at certain distances!
You know...after a few days of testing my joy was brought back to earth...but I have found that this lens is beyond excellent in 95%+ of the situations out there. I was very pleased with how the lens rendered the following:
The only place I can find this lens really struggles is the bokeh when you have the focal point about 15-20 ft away and you have something busy such as foilage in the background at a much further distance behind the subject (50ft away plus). Outside of that, hard to find fault with anything about this lens
^Thanks Ron! I haven't had enough time with the M to give you a solid opinion but so far so good. In terms of files it lacks in dynamic range and high iso compared to the D800 but it has nicer color (although not as pleasing as the M9 colors). Here are two more seascapes from a recent trip taken with the M and WATE.

The color rendition is the critical aspect as far as I'm concerned, and am looking forward to seeing more on this from you and Adam.
As for me, I'm back in the daylight...
Elmarit-21 ASPH | ISO 320 | f/4.8 | 1/180 sec Pak Nam Pran
Ryan, the M-M with the Nocti f/1.0 is a killer, but it works really well with the M9P for night shots, not having to go far above ISO 640. The M-M is a keeper
Joakim, the colors for the portrait are as is, under the roof obviously with a sky light, and side lighting. The colors are mildly saturated, contrast and brightness increased all in Lab color space with CS6. I originally started with Lr, then progressed to C1 Pro for colors, with CS in Lab space. I am once again, finding a lot of improvement in CS6 in Lab, exporting from Lr5
Ryan, love the kid shoot! Very nice PP'ing too The 50 Nokton II looks to be a great lens, on par with the ZM 50 Sonnar, without the focus shift.
Joakim, nice B&W conversions.
Alberto, nice moody portrait!
Joakim, excellent shots of the old Chevy!
Allen, nice framing
Leonas, nice portrait!
rirakuma, love the colors in these seascapes! Obviously time lapse shots
Mitch, nice daytime capture!
Phil - Another cool one. These would look good in a book together.
rirakuma - love the colors!
leonasj - Nice portrait. I have a love hate relationship with the 90APO.. Wish I had the time for it.
Ryan - When the Nokton is at it's best, it's so close to the 50lux that you couldn't justify the price gap, but when it's at its worst... Honestly, it's still pretty good, just not what I'd be looking for in a lens. I'm just having a harder time putting my finger on WHY I don't like the lens every time you shoot with it. It is growing on me, that's for sure.
Elisemkii - Nice film like quality, I had the Summarit, loved it.. Thinking of getting it again over the 75APO, but need to give the APO more time before I abandon it. I just feel the weight of the 75APO, and think to myself that there was no real reason why I sold the 75rit in the first place.
airfrogusmc - Love the dog
joakim - Interesting car, the horn is a pretty neat detail.
Mitch Alland - Definitely a good call getting the 21 SEM, you are using it stopped down, which you predicted you would most of the time, so you've saved money and weight! How you liking the lens so far?
