Yes!
Finally a place where digital Leica users can post and discuss!
I recently got an m8.2, the zeiss 50 1.5 sonnar, and the voigtlander 25 f/4.
I must say, I'm in love with the m8.2 and these lenses. I've only had it for about 2 months, but here are some shots:

So far I am pleasantly surprised with the quality and rendering.
Just received the ZM 50/1.5 Sonnar, and it is front focusing consistently. I have sent it back to the supplier for replacement.
Sounds like an f2.8 optimised lens. Tony Rose @ Popflash had some guaranteed to be f1.5 optimised when I got mine, the trade-off is that they back focus around f/2-f/2.8.
Charles,
Like the color and sharpness of the Nokon 1.1 wide-open.
Seems to do wide-open closeup better than the Biogon 35/2.
Rod,
Like the first portrait with the 75 best.
I really like your shots Kyle! There is something special about the rendering.
Thanks for the heads up, Thrice. Yes you are right the Sonnar is optimized for f/2.8. I am sending back this morning. It great to have feedback through this forum, and not be second guessing for the next few weeks.
Thanks Wayne, I think the Nokton will be one of my favourite lenses. The only reason I got the lens was for low light work, and the Noct. is out of price range and universe.
I am preferring the the Nokton 1.1 over the ZM 35/2 Biogon at the moment.

I am thinking about getting one for an M8. So either it front focuses wide open if optimized at 2.8 or back focuses at 2-2.8 if optimized for 1.5.....is that correct? So basically, you decide if you will primarily use this lens wide open or stopped down a bit?
Kyle....the last time I made a post here about thinking of an M8 is when you were also considering it. You jumped in and your shots already look fantastic.

Thanks Wayne. That's the first time I've used the 75 for portraits. Focus on that particular shot was just a touch off but I liked the shot.
+1 for Charles and the Nokton. Good lens but just too hefty for my taste.

Thrice's advice has been great here. The Sonnar that I was supplied would focus correctly at f/2.8, but at f/1.5 it front focused by a large margin.( Everything way OOF). This is a lens you would hope to use in low light, so there is no way I could this lens at all. If it is optimized for f/1.5, then it will back focus at f/2 -2.8. By how much, I don't know. I just need to decide whether to swap for another lens.
Enjoying this thread. Not many if any macro shots from the Leicas.Maybe i missed a few, can any post some Macro shots and maybe even some telephoto shots with the Leica cams. Thanks

I don't think this is the forte of RF's in general. I know it can be done, but this where DSLR's shine.
Thanks Thrice. I am looking to get a fast 50 for an M8 (not 50 equiv) so you would recommend the Nokton over the Sonnar? I'm not rich enough for the lux yet . I have more use shooting at f/2 and lower but was wanting something fast for the times I could make use of it. Maybe the 50 planar and the CV 35 1.4 is a better idea.....and about the same price. What do you think? All I have now is a 25 Biogon which is on the way.
