thanks for all the comments.
Edwards, love that 3d goat.
Ocean, want to see more from that lens to continue our hot 21mm topic
Airfog, that is a elegant one!
Edward, That is an AWESOME shot of the little goat. Wonderful pop there and incredible detail in the hair. But you should have snapped that when there were no hands in the image!! That knocks the image down a few steps, IMO.
Ryan, lovely portrait, with Nocti wide open!! The Nocti still is my favourite lens
Edward, very nice series. Love the colour in your PP'ing Almost looks like Fujichrome.
CD, very nice examples with the Konica 21/35!
Joe, interesting sample shots with M240. I still feel its way too early to draw any conclusions, and I am sure Leica will keep well under wraps, until the release. It seems this has been the best marketing ploy with even Sony with the RX1. Have the product first in the market before, many well meaning photogs disseminate the IQ and how it is likely to feel before its actual release.
Allen, very nice feel to this shot.
Michael, beautiful portrait
Allen, I like that B&W still life composition. Very nice!
Michael, excellent portrait of your daughter! Really like the composition. This lens is really nice but I've given up looking for a reasonable copy of this lens. Prices seems to be $3k or more lately and not coming down at all?
Charles, I agree, lets wait for the official samples. We will know for sure when the camera arrives.
Charles, I like what you did with RX1 on the beach. Forget about Leica?
Joe, I love both color and BW version, each has its own merit.
You really don't need a 35cron V1. VC lens showing here is just great. I'd be happy to have a set of VC lens on my M if I am not into brand, build too much. Seriously. sometime, I just feel there is no magic in any lens. Any manufacture can design best lens at particular focal length, especially give them unlimited resource without think about target price as Leica did. It is not Canikon or Sigma engineer can't figure out a way to do a f0.95 lens, but are they willing to charge $10000+ and put many resource (human labor) to manufacture such a lens? I feel the recent Sigmalux 35mm is truly a engineer wonder giving the resource they have, the price they charge. Off topic.
A 50cron Rigid pic. My imac giving me problem, this was edited with macbook air, uncalibrated 13 inch. color or exposure could be off.
Thanks for the comments Allen, Edward, Charles, Michael, Joakim.
Joakim, congrats on the lens! Very nice shots.
Allen, yes, P-town during the yearly parade. No, I have not been to Fantasy Fest. Maybe something to check out at some point. Actually I would love to shoot at Daytona's Bike week, probably not this year but hopefully in the future.
Michael, the Wuzhen shot is excellent! the 50Cron Rigid is really nice. I agree, I don't need a 35CronV1 but I love the rendering and built quality considering it was made in the 1960s and it renders B&W beautifully. The CV 35/2.5 is nice and compact and probably one of the best value M lens out there. If they came out with a f/2 aperture lens and make it as compact as their 35/1.4 or a 35CronV4, I would buy one in a heartbeat.
Joe, Agree with speed of 35 and 50 lens. it has to be minimal f2 to be able to take anywhere and DOF control.
Joakim, the 2 and 3 are nice. I especially like the #2. you should capture one at exact the back of 3 girls. That will be a very nice and force me focus on those cute little girls

Ron, really enjoy reading your write-up for the 21mm comparison. Thank you very much.
Speaking of 21mm focal length, I recently got hold of a copy of Konica-M dual focal length 21-35/3.4-4. I have not used much but my initial impression was very positive. Here are few snaps that I just took (21mm for the first two then 35mm). I coded the lens using 28 Elmarit.
Hey Ocean, we must be neighbors. I shoot over at Claude Moore from time to time, have some very similar shots. I live about 2 miles from there.
Michael, great portrait! Thank you for the compliment with the RX1. The M9/M-M has not been replaced, but the RX1 is one great cam. Amazing sensor, with a 35mm Zeiss Sonnar designed lens. I know some would prefer a different style of lens, but I am very pleased with the personality of this lens I now definitely take the RX1, where I would have taken the RX100 before, and for casual shots in the evening. It is wonderful to have a cam that you can include in yourself with your better half in shots!!
Joakim, congrats on the CV 75 Love this set of shots.
Joe, Michael, Charles, Ron, thanks for your kind words.
fwellers, my office is very close to the Claude Moore and I go for short walks sometimes after lunch.
Gary, I was lucky to get hold of the Konica-M Dual lens. The price of the has raised for the last few years. But if one is patient, it can be had for about $2000.
As for the Konica-M Dual, it is very well made lens, as good as any Leica M lenses. The copy that I have does not have any focus issues. I coded the lens with Elmarit 28 without any edge or color shift problems. Here is a link with some info of the lens: http://www.dantestella.com/technical/2135.html.
The weather has not been good here in Washington DC area this past week so I have not had opportunity to go out to use the lens. Hope I will be able to post some images here soon.
