Thanks Hilmar, much appreciated
All the shots were at f/1.4, ISO 640 and shutter speeds ranging from 1/45 to 1/90s, are on manual mode The PP'ing in C1 Pro to CS5 Lab/SEP II.
Thanks Ryan! I leave the WB on AUTO and adjust the WB marginally in C1 Pro for better skin tones. Stage lighting is so difficult, as there is usually a heavy skew to blues
edwin: nice 35lux shot
Charles: The concert shots are very nice, I like them all. But no1 sure is the best to me for the color and sharpness.

Michael: Yeah, it would be fun to add the 50 Sonnar to the mix, unfortunately I don't have easy access to one and I think its minimum focusing distance is one meter - the worst of the bunch. I suspect it would be fairly soft and glowy considering it has a fair amount of spherical aberration, especially at its minimum focusing distance.
Hi Ron,
Thanks for the answer. I have 50 Sonnar on hand. And it is quite sharp wide open and contrast, maybe my sharpest 1.4 lens along with ZF85/35. but four extreme corners are weak on my copy with even stop to f5.6. For what I am doing most of time, this is not a concern. It is not as versatile as other 50 prime lens if I bring it to travel because of this. Small size is big plus. Bokeh is plus plus to me. So even with leica 50s added, I may keep it for fun. I don't mind have more 50mm lens since it is my favorite focal length.
My copy slightly focus front wide open. Since it was bought about 1 years ago, it should optimized for wide open. I heard that Zeiss lens are optimized for film ikon body, thus has short flange distance compare to Leica M. So even it is optimized for f1.4, you will still see this. I was think about send it to Zeiss adjust for digital M body, but decide to not do it. To me, it is not a bad thing have it slightly front focused to make f2.8 better focus as I have experienced enough to compensate this by back focus a little based on distance doing wide open shot. If it is long distance, It seems I don't even need compensation as DOF increasing. I would prefer have focus problem free once stop down.
Sonnar 50 wide open:
My daughter's portrait at wide open showing Bokeh:
slow down
VC35 slow down: nothing special as light is very harsh, it is kind of lens test shot and it is very good cross the frame.
zhangyue, thank you The ZM 50 Sonnar is a special lens! The Sonnar shots always have that wonderful feel. Beautiful portrait shot of your daughter and very nice capture of the owl
Hilmar, very nice set! I love the action shots!!
Hello all. Been traveling and away from the computer lately. Wonderful pictures posted in this and recent pages everyone. I'll have a lot to catch up on.
Meanwhile here's a shot of the Petronas Twin Towers, Kuala Lumpur.
35Lux ASPH
I have a lot of catching up to do in this thread. After noticing that I only took one single shot in January, I decided it was time to do something about it and start actively shooting again. I picked the worst possible day two days ago with minus 15 degrees C, but it was nice to do a bit of photography again.
Carsten, I hope so too. I've had a big change of dynamics in my life for the last two months which affected both my available time and priorities. In short, my girlfriend who lives in Copenhagen is in the process of moving in with me and she has been a lot in Stockholm the past two months. So I've had other priorities. Before that I only got to see her every other week, which left a lot of time for photography and a bunch of other stuff. However, I expect that once everything settles down I'll find time for my photo walks again.
As for travel photos, I did post a couple from Brazil a while ago, but I did very little photography on that trip - only a dozen of shots or so. However, since you asked, here are a couple
