I have not been using the X1 a lot, but just now and then. I did have an opportunity to use it a bit more today and I'll definitely be using it tomorrow at a funeral where a DSLR would be out of the question. I had not planned on doing any photography but I was asked if I could take a few snaps for documentary purposes and I agreed. I think the small discrete X1 will be perfect where I think a loud full blown DSLR would have been rather vulgar and possibly bordering on offensive.
Great shots Charles! I especially like that last one.
M9, 18mm Distagon @ f/8, 3-stop reverse ND grad. Vignette added in post.
Another Wall Hanger! I might be inclined to crop the top just a bit so the sunset takes up just a bit less of the frame. All the focus is on the wonderful waterfall flowing through the rock

Charles, nice portraits with the 90 Elmarit and Nokton 50 1.1. I also like the iso2500 shots with the 50 planar, the M9 produces very clean shots at iso2500
Rod, nice work with the 135/4, that's a tough one to focus on the digital M. I like the 2nd one best
Thrice, another nice one from you The vignette doesn't bother me. I like how the vignette leads to the sunset/rise and how that draws us to the waves and to the rocks, waterfall and finally to the pool at the foreground
Tough for me to post after all these nice shots from everyone. Anyway here's two with my trusty 40 year old 50CronV3 on M8. This seems to be the Cron that is neither sharp nor contrasty enough. Bokeh seems busy but this lens is plenty sharp enough for me
Joe, contrast looks good to me. Sharpness does too or at least as much as I can tell at these sizes. It looks like it has a similar rendering to my Cron 40. I like the swing shot the best. Is that cropped or not?
