KL, only the last shot was processed with LAB (contrast boost in lightness channel only) as the green color was already very intense while the whole image had a low contrast. Adding contrast in RGB would have blown out the green colors.
Charles, I've had the same thing happen to me with a memory card. My solution was to reformat it in the X1 and then it worked..
Joe, nice shots from the park. For obvious reasons I prefer the first one
Ryan, I really like the 50 Lux shots. One should really get two sets of Leica lenses - one with modern ASPHs and the other one with classic Mandler designs. The newer lenses may be optically superior but the older ones certainly have a lot going for them in terms of drawing style.
Cory, love the last shot!

One of the things that I missed most when switching to the M9 was the ability to get interesting close up bokeh. First there's of course the limited MFD but there are also the lenses. My first set of lenses for the M9 did not include a single one that produced interesting bokeh. The Zeiss lenses produced way too harsh rendering close up and the 75 Cron was too neutral to produce anything interesting.
The 90 Cron was the first lens with some real potential but although it can produce some painterly bokeh the background blur is more on the smooth side. The 50 Lux on the other hand seems to produce a very nice balance of liveliness and smoothness.
Luka, I like that second one in your set- there's something interesting happening in the repetition of shapes that you can just make out, as they aren't so far out of focus.
I've actually had a similar thought about 2 sets of lenses for the two different looks-- or with the 75 summilux it seems I can get two in one just by either shooting wide open or stopping down a bit (with the obvious limitation).

Luka, stunning shots!!! Love the display of bokeh
I couldn't agree more. Having two sets, the new with ASPH's and the classic Mandler designs seemed crazy when I first purchased my first $3,000 second hand lens, and that lens still needed to be adjusted. I really think this what makes the M9 unique and fun to use
Steve, I really like the framing of this shot!
Joe, wow... love that first shot! Very nice shots IMO the 28 Cron render the OOF areas beautifully.
After using the 28Cron for a week, I was willing to give up my 35CronIV (although with some regrets). The 28Cron is truly a great lens. Nice bokeh, sharp on corners, etc. Now I can understand why this lens is revered in Leicadom.
Wow, great pics Luka! No 1 is my fav for the colour combintation. SO i guess i should keep my 50 cron 1999 limited edition too along with the 50 ASPH Lux. Been debating it a while and so far find that having both lenses though in the same FL, a luxury that is quite appealing. I will just have to keep both after reading the comments from you and Charles comments (Im quite impressionable at this stage of my obsession)!!!
Love the shots Ryan and Joe, pls keep that 28 cron away from me - it's causing my wallet to jump out of my pocket and go hide under the bed. Darn, i tot i was over GAS.
Luka - great display of bokeh with the 50 Lux. I thought the bokeh of the 75 was good towards MFD it was just such a dramatic loss of contrast? Is that right? Regardless, much better results than the Biogon 35
Steve - nice shot thru the wash. How do you like that lens? Looks like a very interesting lens
Joe - nice shots with the 28. Surprised to see the 35 Cron go. I think that speaks volumes
KL - great shot. I love the rendering of the 50 ASPH close to wide open at medium distance
Thanks KL, and very nice juxtoposed shot of the old world (pigeon uncle and bicycle) and modern Singapore.
Thanks Ryan, nice set, the rendering on that last shot with the 90 Elmarit is beautiful! Is this a tit for tat? You're giving me some 90 Elmarit lust right now..
Charles, more wonderful stuff with the 28Cron. The detail on the foliage and background are amazing. What a lens huh?
Just thought I would show a full size shot with the 50 Lux - i added a slight film grain effect to make it less 'perfect' - the resolution of this 50mm lux ASPH is INSANE
KL, lots of details in that 50Lux shot. Very nice.
Joakim, very nice B&W set with the 90 Elmarit. I like the 2nd one best.

In the process of selling my 35CronIV, 50CronV3 and Nokton 50/1.5. I like the 28Cron very much and I can't justify keeping the 35CronIV and not using it since I already have the 35Lux ASPH. The other reason for selling the 50mm lenses is because my Leica dealer Ken Hansen just sent me a surprise package this morning If you guys want something quick, get in touch with Ken. He won't dissapoint you.
A quick walk outside during lunch for our formalities. 50Lux ASPH
Julian, congrats on your M9. Post some shots soon. What lenses do you have now? Others will chimp in but sometimes the lens pairing could depend on which other lenses you have or intend to buy.
Thanks Ryan. those 35Lux shots are super sharp. I like the rails shot best. On #1, I kind of prefer the color version. The red at the lower left contrasts with the blue skies to add another layer of depth.
Its totally unexpected, I didn't think the 50Lux ASPH will arrive so soon as Ken told me a few weeks back that I was still #10 or 11 on his waitlist, so I went ahead and bought the 28Cron, and thus the reason that I have to sell some of the other lenses to raise cash.
From my initial impression, the 50Lux ASPH packs tons of details, looks like it resolves better than my 35Lux ASPH. The bokeh is super creamy smooth, almost too perfect and unreal. Its definitely better than my old 50Cron at f/2 but I won't say 2x better, the 50Cron gives nothing away when stopped down.

I'm always surprised by its sharpness. Not too good with flare. Amazing size - because of this I take my m9 quite a few more places - for example tossing it in my pocket before the car wash.
Seems odd, but because of its characteristics I find it fun to use. I have a 35 lux, but if I'm headed out in "not too dark" conditions (and not for landscapes) I'm just as likely to take the Perar.
