Nice work guys - KL, Cory, Max (welcome to the thread), Ryan... been following along on and off but haven't posted much. Just getting back into sitting at the computer and PPing images from the past few weeks (total production of over 250GB ouch!).
I'll kick it off with Geneva.
Dropping off my daily beater at the hotel ... yep, right hand drive. ZM35C cropped to about 50mm equiv.
Apparently I'd just missed the Geneva auto show by a day but there were plenty of high end cars kicking around town. I'd rather wander around town anyway.
Out for a stroll and my touristy shots (all ZM35C):
Charles, nice colors and you've got some real focusing skills! Street photography with a 90 @ f/2 is something that very few would even attempt and much fewer succeed with
My 50 Lux ASPH came yesterday..but I wasn't at home. I only rembered to check with UPS today, so I'll get it tomorrow.
Nice stuff. It looks like spring has sprung! The sculpture park (dump?) with the gorilla looks pretty cool. Charles, I quite like that last beach shot. Luka, congrats on finding a 50 ASPH!
rsolti - thanks for the bokeh shots on the elmarit 90! Really appreciate it. It's got the kind of bokeh I like. So it's definitely still in contention.
Charles - nice street shots of with the Cron V3. Love the colors. Do you use a magnifier when you use your 90's?
I love the colors out of the Cron V3. But I also love the sharpness of the Elmarit 90 and APO... Decisions, decisions...
I known for a long time that I'm oversharpening my M9 images but I did not until today realize how bad this was. The problem is that I used my 5DII script for the already much sharper and detailed M9 files. I've fixed it out

It's difficult to believe that I missed the extent of the damage I was doing with the sharpening. So now I want you all to forget every single image I've posted here..
Luka, am still at work with an older monitor but nothing wrong with your 5D method. The new method seems more contrasty. The sharpening won't distract me from the wonderful compositions Where are the 50Lux shots Don't keep us waiting
Joe
edit: Gilgabo, nice set with the X1!. Keep sharing, we haven't seen too many X1 pictures here since Luka upgraded to the M9
Thanks for the vote of confidence, but sharpening is supposed to be my specialty so I really blew it.
Here are a couple of shots that I'm not posting in the Lofoten thread as they are not from Lofoten but taken on the way there. This is actually Sweden, near Arvidsjaur:
That new way of sharpening for the M9 looks so... aggressive to me. Way more sharpened than the 5DII example. And you're saying the original method was oversharpening your M9 photos? I don't get it.
When I look at the original method I don't think 'hmm this looks a bit too sharpened'... I can't say the same when I open the new M9 file.
It bothers me the most when looking at the boat on the right, and compare the 2 shots.
I like the idea... it would be nice if you added just a touch of that new method. Now it's overdone IMO.
