Daniel, are you able to see the photos I post here (meaning FM, such as the ZM/ZF/ZE thread)? I ask because you are in Australia, and Charles, also in Australia, cannot.
Luka, great shots with the ZM 18, personally it feels a little to wide for me.
Charles, two great portrait sets with your new 35 ASPH II, thankfully (for my wallet) I'm very happy with my 35 Cron
Luka & Charles, you're both producing excellent photos with your 75's and I've gotten more tempted by this focal length as my Leica tele-lens than I was before since I earlier considered it to be to close to 50mm. Hmmm.
Thank you Joakim and Joe
Joakim, nice shot of the brick wall
Luka, very nice shots. Great shots with the ZM 18. I am really liking the 75 Cron now too
Joe the 35 Lux compared to 50, different but both brilliant lenses. The weakness is the photographer and having to learn how use them both properly
I got a chance to properly check the mechanical infinity focus on my 75 Cron by taking photos of the moon.. and it's still a hair off (backfocus). Incidentally several of my Zeiss ZE lenses have the same inaccuracy with the mechanical stop but I've got live view to make sure that I'm spot on. Also, I'm not entirely sure that it's actually a flaw. It's possible that it's supposed to be that way to allow for changes in temperature.
Very nice shots Luka! Yes, the boat shot is excellent! The detail is #1 and 4 is amazing. I think this is where web presentation lacks, as a large print of these shots would be great
Yes, Charles the ZM 18 shots with their fine detail are better larger. The general problem with prints, especially large ones is what to do with them
I realized one thing today while out shooting - I should have definitely bought the 35 Lux ASPH II when I had the chance. I really need a faster 35 mm as Sweden during winter (which lasts 5 months) equals darkness.
The shot above was again incorrectly coded. For some reason the ink mark that I make on the lens to code it rubs off and instead of a 21 Elmarit it recognizes it as a 28 Elmarit. Not sure why. I have not had that problem with any of my other Zeiss lenses and the same marker..
Luka, really nice shot!
Rob, amazing portrait shots!!! Stunning model... and very understanding wife I saw these amazing shots on another forum Thanks for sharing!
#1 Easy one, window light, "self portrait".
#2 Slightly off camera fill flash, up and right. Favorite of the bunch.
#3 Over exposed sunlight from camera right/overhead with fill flash from left.
#4 Off camera strobe or possible reflecter, but I doubt it.
#5 Either near camera flash or reflector.
#6 Either near camera flash or reflector.
The available light M9 has a flash plug, so a better case could be made for off camera flash, versus a reflector.
All could have been shot with one lens, 50-75mm, and slow, Summicrons?
