It's really hot here about 3-4 months (June - Sept), but great the rest of the year. How many months of good weather do you get in the Rockies?
Golly gee gosh, I'm at 5000' w/ mountains all around and enjoy 10+ months of great weather. What a lame, uneducated comment! BTW, my Winter coat....is a vest, cupcake.

Likewise, places like Florida, California, Texas, etc where people actually WANT to live and can live comfortably year round.
Just a bit OT but I've lived most of my life in South Florida, and although there are many things attractive about this area that I love, having sweat dripping off my nuts 10 months out of the year isn't one of them...not to mention the intolerable traffic and insanely high property taxes. I love where I live but I would use the word "comfortable" to describe it.

restaurants provide a service- food, and many many many are not successful. photography is essentially art and the sale of art which is a creative aspect on something. photography is also much easier to master than painting, sculpting, acting etc and like i said can be done by anyone with little or no "talent or eye", there is a reason that the expression "starving artists" exists. my 0.02.
Professional photographers are business people that provide a service. That's the bottom line.
