Nice shot Chad. I like the dark background better , if you could of extended the crop at the top higher and added a rectangled light would of added to this shot alot I think. Still is a great idea, and shot.

I shot this in my sister's house basement. They don't have one of those cool pool table lights. And it was shot in broad daylight. I love how messing with manual exposure and using flash/diffusers can mimic conditions. Obviously a little PP work was used with the blackened background version.
Like the change, but was wondering how a gradient from black to dark grey might leave a little 'pool hall' ambiance on the right, while still killing off the window on the left.

Sweet concept & execution, btw.
I've tried a gradient background, even one with the cues lit from above to add some ambiance. However, it all seems to distract from the motion and focus on the balls. The more I add stuff the better I like the simplicity of just the lit table. But maybe some time will change my mind.
Great Image Chad, I just started looking at the images for this week. I really like the action that this image demonstrates. Nice job! I like the black background as well.
