It is a lens to grow with. Fun lens, I don't like easy one Don't say I didn't warn you guys is a difficult lens to use. many times, the Bokeh from 90cron is actually smoother, but true 'magic' (to me) stay with 80lux for people images.

Gorgeous sets Zhangyue. What is the serial number on the copy you have if you don't mind to share?
Thanks. Mine is 339****, as far as I know there is no big difference between new and old copy other than coating. Alex(Worldinlens) or mark(mmacro) can correct me if I am wrong.

Yes, but different coating can make a different feeling, especially in flare rendition, and contrast. One coating processus for lens before 80s' and double (triple) coating processus after 90s'.
Very nice shots indeed. Bravo!

Great pics as usual. They are growing fast. I like pic 2 as he is looking down and Pic 3 with her face in beautiful light. I would either blur him out or cut him out.
To be anal about the coating. Yes, it does differ. More so not only the coating but the glass batch!
Although all lenses follow the same optical formula, They do not use the same glass dough and hence differ.
I stumbled across this fact when owning duplicate Leica R lenses for redundancy.
With two new Lux 80 of different decades. One free of glass bubbles and the newest with glass bubbles (one bubble), I prefer the render of the newest......go figure
Same story across all the range of focal length and all other brands. It is not only the coating but the glass and workmanship when hand made or machine precision produced as each company sets different tolerance levels hence variation in lenses........one of the reasons why people unwittingly try different lenses before picking the one they like!
Just to make it clear, this is strickly for anal anoraks

Absolutly, I had two Leica-R 50/2 and two Leica-R 60/2.8 from 70s' and after 90s'. My wife loves photos from Angkor I made 8 years ago in Tri-X with the "old" Macro 60/2.8. Actually, it is just a matter of taste.

This will happen eventually. I currently have 2 of 80-200/f4, too! I used to own 2 copy of 180/2.8 APO, but traded one for other lenses. BTW, I love the 60 macro also. Simple design with great performance.
