Michael, you swapped your A7r for the A7 ?
Yes! indeed. I miss the IQ of A7R but I don't regret as I really can't bare that extra shutter delay.
Greg, Both wonderful! Which Camera you use for your R lens?
I've been using my Canon 1D4 for 4 years this month, now. I miss FF sometimes, but for the most part, the 1.3x does really well. I've even made prints of 20x30 from our Italy trip several years ago. I rented an RX1 from Roger awhile back, and was absolutely stunned by its quality! I think I would like an A7, if at least just for its sensor capabilities, but I feel the same about the focusing issue(mirrorless vs SLR)...
Using the R lenses, now( I still have the 4 loaners given to me by one of my customers, a fellow FM'er), and the 50 Lux is mine. I use Sigma's 35 and 85 for my occasional paid work, and for those instances where I require AF...
But I'm rambling!!

Agree with Michael on this. For moving subjects, DSLR + MF lens. Just the other day, I can't even track an elderly man with a cane crossing the traffic light with the A7 + cron 90.
And no, you can't see the misfocused shot. It's embarrassing.
Anyway, here's a couple from Carmel-by-the-Sea... 28 Elmarit
Gregg -- First shot has the medium format look
Thank you Kokusai...unfortunately, I have never shot medium format, so I'm not familiar with the look...so I'll take your word on it!
The Lux continues to blow me away. I haven't shot too much lately, outside of my kids, and my eye isn't quite as good as Michael's with MF, so my hit rate was pretty low...well, not that bad, I guess! But when it comes to static subjects, and I nail focus, the Lux is incredible!!
Another lovely set Gregg. Yes. The 50 lux renders flowers beautifully. The following were some of my first shots with the 50 lux back in 2007. Like watercolor, yes?
Canon 30D, SOOC. I didn't know what RAW was back then .
Todays Plan A of some actual landscape images of a fetching hill summit vista, unravelled in the dawn twilight as hill fog and altostratus cloud sheets ruled out both the view and the forecast sunshine. So, Plan B implemented, a visit to an upland Sessile Oak wood, the trees growing in this wood bear testament to recent and past storms.
Got the day off today, and took the little man and dog for a walk while the oldest was in school. All with the 50 Lux wide open.
Thanks for looking,
Gregg
