I missed shooting with Leica-R. There is something about it...
My co-worker asked me to take a few shots of his new bike.
I like 1st photo! Great rendering of real world 3d subject to 2d photo.
Is 35mm Summicron-R better on magenta/green fringe than 50mm Summicron-R? I have only the 50mm and I don't remember it being this good with this kind of shiny subject, thou it's years since I have last shoot with the lens and many more years that I shoot anything else than nature with 50mm Summicron-R.
Thank you all!
I also used Zeiss lenses to take pictures of the bike; they are very clean and clear, but somehow Leica shots are more appealing, especially close-ups with Summicron-R 35.

Samuli, I don't have any Cron-r 35 vs. Cron-50 shots right now, but I will try to take few this coming weekend. However, I do have a set of Summicron-R 50 and Zeiss 50/2 that may help. I posted them in this FM thread

'I would rather see this one as a very interesting standard lens with some remarkable properties.'
'If you want accurate reproduction of a wide range of subjects, also in the close focusing range, the Macro-Elmarit-R 60mm f/2.8 is the best choice.'
Great bargain too.
And the focusing is smooth and snappy -- almost can't miss! One of my best manual focusing lenses ever.
Yes, a bargain! I got mine for $500 shipped, plus an inexpensive non-chipped EOS adapter for HK. I've seen them sell from $400 to $650, which is impressive for any Leica lens.
