Along with an extra bountiful crop of strawberries this year, there seems to be a bountiful crop of strawberry photos! Hope there is room for one more :-)
Beautiful image: One of only a few photos in the section with a semblance of photography, and not a snapshot. I'd almost forgotten that I was on a photo forum!

J
I agree, beautiful image!
I must heartily take exception to Skarkowtsky's comment about other people's images here. I find it to be rude, arrogant, and uncharitable. People are here to learn and grow, and have FUN. That he deems his own work to be so masterful and others beneath his perceived standards is his problem not ours. If he doesn't like the forum he should go somewhere else, immediately.
Not to hijack your thread with this..sorry. I'm just disgusted by this kind of attitude. It's one thing to think it but to say it is wholly unnecessary. Really.
Where have I made claims to my own work, yours, or anyone specifically for that matter? Thank you for playing mommy.

FORUM
–noun
A public meeting place for open discussion
A public meeting or presentation involving a discussion often including audience participation
Good ol' Oxford dictionary...
The operative word there is PUBLIC. My observation is my own, and does not single anyone out. It's free of the slander you wish to attach to it. In fact, your comment was specific. Hypocrite.

This sounds like a threat, Ms. Serious Business.
But, this is JAlexander's thread. Again, beautiful image!
I agree with you Bev, seems one should keep in mind we are all here to learn and become better photographers, comments are to help improve on one's techniques, not to downplay someone's shots , comment like his have no place on this forum.
jAlexander your photo is well done, and I apologize for having to use your post to make my comment about Skarkowtsky poor taste.

Precisely! Myself included. It's unfortunate that people only perceive and embrace what they call 'positive' comments and praise, though other truths can't be spoken without a disguise.
Call it how it is, like you're doing right now, which is fine by me. The pair of you have no qualms about reflecting your thoughts about me. You certainly aren't softening your opinions as to my character to oblige by some virtual forum etiquette, though I'm not offended.
That's the way it should be, across the board. If in your opinion I'm being an a@#$&!#, call me out. If a photo is exceptional, say it. If it's not, say it. Want to offer help, do it.
If the trend around here seems to shift in one direction, and I have an opinion about it based on observations, I'm expressing it.
I want to sincerely thank everyone for taking the time to comment on my photo. I have great admiration for the many wonderful photographers here at fredmiranda including those photographers who have posted on this thread tonight, but may I respectfully request that we drop the debate on this thread?
Thank you,
