It is a little slow to start up, buffer & process images ... but there are a lot of things that I like about the camera that nobody ever mentions, such as:
The mirror lock-up is just a flick of the dial ... no menu hunting, very nice.
The 'Hotkey' has multiple settings to get to different functions
The preview zooms in to 1:1 ... and shows R G B values wherever you point the cursor. Excellent to see if you've blown a channel ... even if your histo says you're fine.
Things that make you think a bit differently about how you approach your efforts. Just got the manual in the mail today.
As to the images ... well, I'm still thinking that you know how to produce the goods better than I ... but I'm chasin' after ya.

Stability. I had some artifacts and some corrupted images. If you are not seeing this, then I guess there is some difference between our systems.
+1. I have the same problem using Sandisk. So I have changed to a Lexar card. After that all goes well.
Also, the way the Histo is well marked with middle gray and the way it displays your overexposed areas to the right (rather than clipping the histo) in the ERI recovery zone is nice and it has clearly marked tick marks (EV) to see your EV range ... about -4.5 to +3.5, plus ERI.
In addition to the RGB values at the cursor, the illuminator function showing the +/-EV variance from middle exposure value at that point also is nice ... think zone system.
So even though the LCD is small, the info is rather helpful .. more so once I get used to using all that it offers.
Yeah, I do see the vertical bar now, I think it had to do with a little condensation on my filter... as I don't see it in any other photos. Here's another...
