The colour and texture are wonderfully captured. The subject is so close to being centered that my curiosity is getting the better of me, what was the decision there?

Good guess, you are correct! 1972 Cutlass convertible, currently about 75% disassembled & awaiting a resto from me...although it's been waiting in that same state for over 10 years now (didn't have as much rust then, either)...

Thank you McGrattan! Yes, the decision was made to slightly off-center the "OLD" of "OLDSMOBILE", hopefully to incur some curiosity if there was more to the word there or not...
