Looks very good and if it's $250 including a filter that's not bad at all for a Lee system.
The Samyang shots from Lenstip don't appear very sharp, not rubbish, but a bit soft even stopped down. Not sure if they are out of camera jpg's with no sharpening.
Didn't they delayed the release date of the 14mm to add some more ED element. The lenstip samples were taken in Sept 2009, so the pictures were taken with the original preproduction version

Oh, well that's good, I hadn't noticed the date. So let's hope the production version is much better. The newer shots although small, do look better.
As a guy who shoots alot of interiors I really don't need autofocus on a 14mm lens. I can always shoot at the apeture which will optimize sharpness, and even the bad examples shot from this lens look as good as Canons old 14mm L lens before post processing. Bottom line, I'm buying one.
When will this be available in real terms? I'm hoping before my trip in july i might just have to get this instead of other alt lenses i was looking at.

got my Samyang 14/2.8 this morning (UK).
Weather not good - first rain here for three weeks - but clearing now.
First results look very good - more results later.
Build quality excellent.

Paul who did you order it from and how much was it?
I'm a bit more interested in the 85 and future 35 but it would be good to know where would be the best place for these.
It's a hard to find lens. None of the major dealers like B&H, Adorama or Amazon carry it. I found it on fleabay for $465. Seems I recall it was supposed to sell for $300 in 2009 when it was announced.
