I'm looking for a good, portable step-stool. Scoured Amazon.com but couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for.
My Requirements:
I only need around 2 feet in height, for standing.
I need a small platform on top, as high as possible, for holding small items. - Most stools make the top platform an additional step, which means it's too low to use as a holding platform.
I want the type with a hand rail on top.
Very easy to open / close.
Very stable.
## As compact as possible when folded / collapsed. I'd like to find one that lets you collapse the top hand-rail, but so far I can't find one.
Preferably light, but this isn't critical.
Preferably: Black in color and not easily scratched.

I just ordered a little Giant, for $145. Ughh. That Pearson looks perfect. It's 3" taller on the third step, 1.5" thinner when folded, and 6 lbs lighter. - And I'll never use the shelf on the Little Giant, as it's too narrow.
Assuming there is a "little giant" ladder/stool for the size you need, you won't go wrong....crazy strong, and well built. Nice feature is that the railing folds to make the storage size smaller. I have the two step version, as it fits in my trunk, and it is just tall enough to shoot OVER other people....feels very sturdy...but somewhat heavy due to the constuction...
