Australia pre orders are being handled in the same order as domestic.
Thanks Paul.....
That seems to make sense from an equity POV, but I might of thought it would make sense to wait until you had a "shipment" and then send a batch Downunder, instead of one unit...one unit...one unit.....one unit .......
Surely that's got to increase the overall shipping costs ?
And while you're here, on a not totally unrelated note, how are the PLM's going ? Will it be very long before the V2's are available ?
Darn and here I went telling Lori to put me in line about a month after the first units are received by customers, as I was worried some units may need to be sent back in for bug fixes etc (due to being a new product). For safety because of the fact that my units will eventually make there way to Singapore before they even get powered on... Had I known Paul, that you guys would be such sticklers with the first 15 units, and that testing on the other units would be this extensive, I would have smooth talked my way to the front of the line, or at least somewhere in the top 15
Anyway congrats bacilonur, do let us know your initial thoughts on build quality, einstein functions, along with your (inevitably subjective, but still interestingly informative) thoughts on "quality of light", bare bulbed and modded..
Thanks Paul! Yeah, that's why I asked that before. The B400 is almost sufficient and keeps up admirably at about 15ws even with the VB2, but the flash duration slows down too much.
Adam, I'll do a test with and without the dome and with the same reflectors compared to a Dynalite 4040 head (sold my Profotos). I think I'll also leave a large Chimera attached overnight to test the strengthened mount. I've also got a brlliant idea for safely transporting the CSXCV, since it can't stay plugged in during storage (at least the way I store mine, in Pelicans with no padding in between).

I plan on storing mine with the rest of my radio remotes Pocketwizards and CyberCommanders) kit: in one of the small Cable Manager bags that w came with the Thinktank Photo Logistics Manager rolling case.
Ellis, I've got one of those but from looking at the photos of it, it looked like the pins might be prone to bending fairly easily. I switched to Cybersyncs from PW Multimaxes because of the antennas bending and the size, so I'm not looking to keep each one nicely padded and bagged. What I'm gonna try is putting a bit of velcro on the part that sticks out when it's plugged in, and then the other side of velcro underneath the light where the ridges are for the mount to fold up, with the pins pointing in towards the center. That should theoretically keep them protected and prevent them from getting lost easily.
