We always called it "Hen & Chicks" since they continually multiply off each other. Don't know the real name of this succulent, though.
The plant is called Euphorbia myrsinites, or commonly called creeping spurge or donkey tail. Very nice plant BTW, also produces soft pick flowers. at the end of each stock.
You nailed the lighting and it's perfect in B/W.
