I was a little surprised there wasn't a 5300 announcement in there. Hopefully Canon's simply still engineering the smaller model and not taking the HP approach.

I bought an iPF8100 several months ago. Felt some remorse at the Feb 1st announcements, but then realized something rather critical:

These won't be available until (at least) October. I couldn't possibly have waited even if I had known. That kind of delay just wouldn't have worked.

Honestly, the printer's cheap compared to the supporting setup, so I can't say I feel any remorse at all. The current machines are still very, very solid and produce wonderful results.
