Usually when you have to pre-empt a statement with "no offense" you're being offensive. If you don't like what you see, don't buy the lens. I picked up a Yashica 50mm 1.4 for 10 bucks. It's an very good performer. Usable wide open, great bokeh. I like it better then the super tak I had.

All the example pics in this thread pretty much prove my point, above.
Seriously, is there anything here that makes someone want to buy a Yaschica lens? I don't see it at all.

I'll second that! By looking at the samples just on this page I would say Yashica lenses ROCK! I know my 24/2.8 ML is the best 24mm lens I've owned. I dunno how many I've owned over the years but I currently have 14 different ones.

I have three and am about to sell two. Actually one of the two for sale is a Yashica DSB 24/2.8 the other one is ML though - it's the one I shot with above. I wonder what the differences between the DSB and the ML are? Anyone know?

"ML" stands for "multi layer" and refers to lens coatings. These coatings were introduced later and are considerably better than the initial ones, i.e. single coated, marked as "DSB". Due to these differences ML lenses are commonly regarded as much better, especially in terms of contrast and flare resistance than DSB lenses.
