I just want to say I enjoyed looking at all of the pictures in this thread. I don't have an a850.... yet, but have a few of the alphas as well as a few Maxxum cameras and may eventually get around to buying the a850. Many inspiring images here.

Yes I have tried at least 3-4 brands of adapters, and they all work somewhat ok but not surprisingly the best ones were also the most expensive ones (Rayqual/Kindai). If not the ones from jinfinance on evilbay are also ok but the lens focusing scale will not point upwards, it will be off by 30 degrees approx.
