Yikes, I won this one: 110596226603
I hope I didn't overpay and screw up. I trust it will be substantially better than the 24-105 f4 on the Canyon 5DII.

A bit high but not by a lot. That seller actually sold the same lens previously for 363 and for whatever reason relisted it.
I've been watching auctions for the past couple of weeks. The 800 dollar one is ridiculous; no one will buy it. I've seen fair to good condition ones end in the 280-500 range recently with most of them being good/ok condition (at least cosmetically) for sub-400 prices. I've been the 2nd highest bidder on at least 6 of them in the last 3 weeks, hopefully I can finally win one soon...
Happypage HK seems to have disappeared from Ebay - I bought one Happy C/Y/EOS-V-5 right before he disappeared and one from a fellow FM'er - I like them vs. other adapters in the reasonable price range - the V5 works well. We think this might be the same adapter - I have not bought from the new seller but they look exactly the same while offering the V-5+.
Thanks for that info. I had e-mailed HappypageHK (Rudolf) in the past--he chipped my cameraquest OM-EOS adapter--sent it priority for no extra charge. Oh, the seller says he provided a wrong e-mail to Ebay. There were two extra "."
in the e-mail address. I think he was on the level as the payment was unclaimed
from paypal and I cancelled that one. I did reissue the payment. The lens was indeed relisted. The previous winner had no feedback--perhaps new to Ebay and may have gotten cold feet with the payment issue.
The seller claimed ebay had not yet fixed the proper E-mail address. I will rest easier when the lens is in my hands and proves to be as described. I hope I have something decent to post soon.

Got my happypageHK adapter today. The lens is fantastically sharp with great color/contrast. Samples will be posted tonight.
A side note. The mirror got hung once or twice I moved remounted the adapter a few more times and it hasn't since. I even put the camera in continuous and shoot it full on while spinning it like a gyro, no more hangups.
The mirror clears now it seems, I didn't think there was any clearance issue with the 5D II? Anyone's copy occasionally get hung on the mirror?

Only with this adapter....the happypageHK. My other two adapters....one generic w/o a chip and the other V5+ chipped adapter from Shamino123 have no problem.
The other issue I have with the happypageHK adapter is that the spring lock clip will not lock on any of my Contax C/Y lenses, while the two others do.

Go figure.....

I had the same issue. I just lightly bent the spring further inwards, works perfect since then. On mine the spring can also be adjusted by loosening two screws and shifting it...
Guys, may I ask what are your Picture Style settings? I am new to the Canon system. Bought a Canon body for alternative lenses. My SOOC pictures are kinda yellowed.
I prefer standard picture style.
I also prefer to set the white balance to one of the
preset values such as daylight, cloudy, shade, etc....
I leave the other stuff alone. I do not use AWB (auto white balance)
