So... My Canon CPS membership is approaching renewal time at the end of Feb. and this was my first year in the program... I was wondering, when I renew, do I get another welcome kit? anyone know?
Richard..Not sure yet...I believe I was in the first week of the new CPS program and the renewal hasn't came up yet. My effective join date under the new program was the first of March 09. Don't think many will know until the renewals start coming in.
We are aware some CPS memberships will be set to expire shortly, please do not try to renew your membership until you receive a renewal confirmation email with a link to the renewal process.
CPS will send out notices to your current email address 30 days before each membership expires with information on how to renew your CPS membership.

Yes... I got that same email. I'm not so much concerned about renewing in general, just wondering if renewing means another welcome kit. We are supposed to get clean and check coupons every year, so I'm thinking they will probably send us those, but I'm wondering if we'll get the whole supply of lens caps, body caps, EF lens book and most importantly, another CPS strap.
Last year was the first for which CPS membership required payent, offered multiple levels of membership, and included the extensive gift packages. CPS is only now notifying people of upcoming renewals, and it seems these have not started yet. All of which is to say that no one is likely to have an answer for you as no one has yet had an opportunity to renew.

Fair enough... I couldn't remember exactly when the new program started, but seemed to remember that I didn't jump on the bandwagon right away, perhaps I was quicker than I remember though.
i talked to canon about this earlier in the week. I was under the impression that you would still get the gifts, whatever that may be when you renewed for the respective level

I emailed CPS about the purchase of the neck strap and they told me no so I sent a reply last night asking about the welcome kit and hopefully will get an answer today.
You will receive a new kit, however, the contents of the kit may vary by the time you renew your membership. Our website should be updated if the kit changes.
I do really like the camera strap!!!!!
