It looks plenty sharp to me for wide open. It may be the bokeh got a bit 'sharpened' in the procs of posting, losing the 'pop' you see on your screen ?

More happiness from the old and venerable Zeiss ZF.2 Distagon T* 25/2.8. A very unusual mood from a very popular spot to take pictures of here in Iceland. These rocks of ice are thousands of years old and are breaking away from Vatnajökull glacier - Europe's largest glacier, piece by piece. They begin their independant life in the glacier lagoon until they slowly swim out to sea where they will eventually melt, become one with the oceans, and ultimately help the base sea level to rise.
