Alright, here are my first shots as a 'wedding photographer'. I much prefer more controlled shooting where I get to pick the light (mid day harsh shadows are no fun) etc but it was fairly interesting doing street photography with the Zeiss glass.

That's it. Hmm, I feel I've forgotten something.. Ah, right, the bride & groom

Very nice, denoir! I didn't care for the wedding since I'm not very fond of royalism.
Thanks Makten. I'm not a great fan of royalism either but I thought a couple of hundred thousand people would provide a good opportunity for some street photos.
Great shots. Love the colors and the texture of the first one. I'm about as a big fan of herrings (exception: senapssill) as I'm of the royal family, but the last one is a nice photo nevertheless. I typically limit my herring intake to once a year (midsummer) and it is about as often I can stomach the royals as well.

denoir: Congratulations on your assignment as the wedding photographer I really like the shots.
Thanks, I suppose I should send them a bill. I think I'll retire from that assignment though. Street/event type of photography isn't my exactly my cup of tea. I prefer a nice scenery, evening or morning light, a tripod and no hurry
Denoir, Makten, great shots....pretty much every single one of them. Denoir, for the last shot should have had the 100 MP, that would have been a hell of a shot.
Here are a couple of mine from a walk tonight.....both with ZF 50 1.4

Thanks, I also would love to try a longer exposure but officially tripods are not allowed, though one day I may try and see what happens
Of your shots i love no 1 and 3, very nice look to them.
You could try a super clamp & ball head attached to the railing (assuming it's a suitable railing). I have done this in some churches where tripods might be frowned upon, though limited me to shooting from the pews.

Ended up going to Ikea and buying a can of matjessill back to eat at home... I'm so sad anyone near the northern seas with a grandma who can cook wanna adopt me? I have like 5 ZE lenses to share
About half an hour ago I went out to on my balcony and my jaw literally dropped. The sky was unbelievable. I stood there gaping for a few seconds, then grabbed my camera, tripod and the 21/2.8. When I got out of the building I realized both the sun and the clouds were rapidly moving so I just propped up the tripod and took a few shots. By then almost all of the cool sky was gone, but you can still see a bit of it here:
What looks like horrible compression artifacts in the sky are actually the clouds blurred by their motion. I should probably have done shorter or longer exposures to even it out, but I only noticed it when I uploaded the images to my computer.
After a couple of minutes there was only a trace of the red sky left:
I should have of course taken the 35/2 or the 50MP instead, but my instinctive reaction was landscape=UWA when I grabbed the camera.
