BTW, I drove by Sony store and decided to check RX-1. I had Nikon D800E with Zeiss Distagon 2/35 attached so I gave it a quick and dirty try. Mind you, I had only few minutes and the conditions were less than ideal to perform any serious test; however, here are few shots just to get a feel for these two (Sony pictures was shot in JPG, where D800e in RAW)
A question for those who have a zf.2 35/f2 distagon. Is there any play in the aperture ring? I recently acquired a used one and wanted to make sure it was an anomaly before contacting the seller. Unless it is locked at f22, it moves back and forth a bit and makes a "tuk tuk" sound. Even at f22, it still makes noise but less that at other apertures when rocked back and forth. Is this normal behavior or something wrong with the lens? The focus ring is smooth and there is no play with it.
Rodluvan those are great, especially #1 and 3#. Luka really like your #1.
Blackout, amazing star detail with the 2/25. That lens looks like a great choice for night sky photography.

Jochen, I rarely post to this thread, but that shot is awesome. Great micro contrast and clarity, but more so, the composition really emphasizes the vastness of the scene.
One of the reasons I like Planars (50 & 85) so much is their bokeh at middle apertures; smooth, low contrasts and very predictable.
same subject from different distances: Carl Zeiss Planar T* 1.4/85 @ f/2.8, 1/5000s, 5DmkII
Carl Zeiss Planar T* 1.4/85 @ f/2.8, 1/s, 5DmkII
Carl Zeiss Planar T* 1.4/85 @ f/5.6, 1/640s, 5DmkII
Carl Zeiss Planar T* 1.4/50 @ f/2.2, 1/2000s, 5DmkII - should have shoot @ f/2.8 top corners suffer @ f/2.2 from mechanical vignetting (causing effective aperture in corners to be smaller, which causes larger DOF on corners)
