Thanks Lieutenant Z and akul!
Toothwalker, yes, I like B&W. Also, the background in the original is very bright and colorful, taking all attention away from the mannequin.
Lieutenant Z, nice composition (with the mountain mirroring the slope of the roof) and subject! Hope I'll get to see storks in real life some day.
Bob, the pattern created by the clouds in the second one is fascinating.

Actually I wanted to ask whether the image is supposed to be grayscale, because I see color. It is not a grayscale image, but a 24-bit RGB image in which the three channels are not identical. How did you do the B&W conversion?
Aha, sorry I misunderstood. First I made it completely grayscale, but I wanted a slight blue tone, so I played with split tones in Lightroom. I'm new at post processing (it's only a few months ago since I started shoot RAW), so I'm sure I make many mistakes. I'm pleased with how it turned out though.

Aha. The blue tone is very slight indeed. I think quite a few people would not notice it.
Awesome work! I've really enjoyed browsing these pages (not sure I made is through all 736 though). So what is everyone using for sharpening? I know Samuli's method, but that seems to leave a small image file (or am I wrong?). Often I need to go large with images, so reducing the file a few times won't work.
Toothwalker- #1 is great
Bob - Very nice. It is great to see these photos in bw. #2 especially
Willhelm - I like the #1 tractor shot very much. Something about the flat tire attracts me.

And the last one a sweet memory of the 2/100 that I sold.
Just in case anyone missed it ....this is what could happen to you if you ever sold your 100/2.
Maybe Daniel could visit the new owner's site to browse those pics.
I'm sorry to have to inform you all, but I have to honestly tell you that you that the images on this forum are trully outstanding!
It's difficult to single out one individual or a group of people but everyone just seems to have the knack.
Is it PP, lens, camera or sheer artistry?
Or perhaps a combination of all 4? (or there might be a '5th element'?)
2 weeks on and I'm still marvelling at the photographs (combination of slow connection and trying to absorb it all).
If I can produce photographs 1/2 as great I'd be well satisfied.
You've given me countless hours of enjoyment - and re-initiated the joy of photography which I haven't felt since the late '60s - for which I thank you all (and I'm only on page 602...)
With admiration and deference.
