Thanks everyone for the nice comments about the rowboat!
bpark42, what an interesting location. Good composition and light/shadows.
Rodluvan, like I said at Flickr, the first one in the previous set could be two different age versions of the same woman about to walk into herself. The third one in that set is stunning. I lack words to explain why I like it so much. #1 and 2 in your most recent set are also very good. Great use of light and shadows.
Jochen, great use of motion blur in "Time is money"! It makes the whole photo for me.
te4o, the first in B&W is fascinating, and beautiful skies in the others. My favorite is #2 (the one with the beams) in the second set.
Ulff, I like your post processing in #2. Nice atmosphere.
Gregg, what a lovely shot of Giovanni. I like everything about it.
MJWong, first is really nice with great textures, colors and patterns.
akul, lovely view and photo of it. Looks like it could have been taken around here.
te4o, like the bokeh on the waterdrops image, and the lovely skies
Bob, a nice sunset
Ulff, like the leaf
Lieutenant Z, more great portraits
Gregg, lovely baby on the bench
akul, great light on the water

Jim, that shot from the 100MP is interesting. Did you lower the contrast/clarity in post? It has a dreamy quality that is definitely not typical of that lens. I like the result, I just would never have guessed it was taken with the 100MP.
Lars, I really like the second and third shots in the post above.
akul, I have enjoyed your last several photos. That general location looks like it would be great when fall color really starts to set in.
Rodluvan, love your set from the last page. The colour is fantastic, what camera are you shooting with. I could never get accurate reds like that bus with my 5d2. Any tips? Underexpose and push in post?

D700 might be that reason. Tho that red isnt accurate, it has slight magneta tint caused by Zeiss *T. But thats considered characteristic not fault.
5DMK2 is pretty much colorblind especially in daylight its red channel consists of 50% red 47% green and 0,3% blue. As you might guess it can cause some trouble with reds.
This can be countered to some degree by building your own ICC profile tailored for your camera/lens combo. Ofc the fact that 5D MK2 and MK3 have bad CFA is simply fact and theres nothing to do with that. Kinda funny is that original 5D was better in this.
If you want really good colors from Canon, I suggest buying 1D/s series. Avoid original 1Ds (which is really color blind as there is more green color in red channel than red itself) and new 1DMKIV (which is pretty much same as 5DMK2 or MK3). And ofc original 5Dc is better then new 5DMK2 and MK3 (in colors).
Ofc try making ICC profile first. You might like it bit more after that. Even 1Ds (classic) with decent profile is usable.
Amazing photos everyone and thank you for the compliments. Every time i come back to this thread i spend hours and hours delighted and lost in your images. I also has the effect of renewing my passion. Guess I couldn't ask for more from this community. =)

Thanks. As others have said, it's a D700. I don't 'underexpose' per se, but I make sure not to blow any highlights and opt to push in post instead (as D700 in base iso retains much dynamic range in shadow areas and can be pushed a stop or even more. Pulling is almost impossible though).
I'm no tech freak as sensors go, and I'm not very familiar with the ins and outs of the Bayer filter used in different cameras. Perhaps that is something to read up on.
Can someone recommend a good site with comparative data (canons vs nikon for instance)?
Bob - I really like the sleepy dog shot. Very cute. Beautiful sky and color on the city scape. #2 especially brings out the sky and building very nicely.

Wow, too many great pictures to count.
Great cityscape shoots Bob.
Luka, I saw your image on zeissimages today . Great slipper.
Edge, first one is rich of color, love it. Second, too.
bpark, lars, Jimmy, rji, akul, edgecrusher... lovely images. Each image is a testament to the great eyes behind the lens/camera than the equipment itself.
Bob,
I saw that row of bikes in your second shot and said to myself ' i hope he got in close on those bikes' then i scrolled down and said oh yeah.Nice shot
