ZE 35/1.4. I added lots of vignetting to try and get rid of some of the distracting stuff around the car. Not sure if it works or if it's just too much.
Helena, that shot with vignetting added does it for me!
Ullf, I've seen that effect a lot on trees and I often like it. Yours is certainly one of those.
Helena, thanks. The color is of that car is fantastic. The vignetting doesn't bother me, but I think I'd like it better if it was framed a tiny bit wider (mostly on the bottom). Just my taste ofcourse.
Z, nice macro.
Jonas, I like the light and the composition
Mike, last one is my favorite.

Toothwalker, what a nice set! All are good, but #1, #3 and the last are my favorites. Where are they taken?
I took them during a cold but rewarding sailing trip on Vestfjorden, general Lofoten area. The first one is somewhere in the Steigen municipality, the lighthouse is Moholmen fyr, and the gull-infested house is "Krykkjehuset" på Røst.

I think it works, but would need to see the original to be sure.
Is it just me or is the general quality getting better and better in this thread (current poster excluded o/c)?
I have been away for a while (D700 at the shop for extensive repair) and can't comment on everything, but a special mentioning of Akul who I think really brings out the best in the lenses, good going, very inspiring.
Here's three with 1.4/50 (on D700, first two wide open for effect - I do seldom to never use it @1.4, third at 4.0 - A BRICK WALL!)
Morty, great composition and choice of focus area. It really draws you in.
Mike, beautiful light, compositions and general atmosphere.
Toothwalker, beautiful. I need to visit Lofoten again soon. We have been there twice before, but before I got into photography.
Lieutenant Z, thanks! Fascinating to see a bee from the side, so close up. Don't think I have done that before.
Thank you Jochen! Good point about the bottom being a bit too tight. I checked in Lightroom and there was a small margin, so I re-cropped it and uploaded a new version.
Nice to see more from the 85mm. I like your B&W processing as always. Good title - she does indeed look lonely in a crowd, especially since everyone seems to be walking away from her.
Rodluvan, very nice portraits. The wall shot is pretty striking too with it's strong lines, patterns and textures.
Very nice again Toothwalker. I love the Lofoten! I still have to upload some of my shots from Lofoten.
I'm certainly going back there.
Helena, this new version looks better to me!
Thanks for the comments. I like that you understand my composition with all the people walking away from her.
When I get rich, I will buy a state of art DSLR just to be able to use the Zeiss 100MP once in a while. Even among all the other fantastic Zeiss glass in this thread pictures taken with the 100MP clearly stands out, hat off to the engineers responsible for one of the greatest lens design ever.
Yeah I know some photographic skills are involved as well, but what the heck, even if you don't possess that just point the camera at anything in your way and the IQ alone is worth looking at ...
