All these nice shots with the 2 planars recently don't make it easier for me
Since I got the 35/1.4 last year I started to appreciate the planars more. I like the gentler rendering.

I have those two Planars. In the beginning I didn't like them at all as much as my other Zeiss lenses. But the more I use them the more I like them

Haven't been in here for a while and trying to catch up. Amazing shots as ususal.
Ulff, very nice shots.
Helena, I love the composition as well.
Hugo, that is a fantastic shot. I can't stop looking at it.
William, the mini shot is very good. Hint: the photos of people above the mini would have been much better if you would have had exposure even close to "correct"; first one is 1/3 stop overexposed, second maybe even 2/3 stop, if not then at least 0.5 stop.
Ulff, very nice 3D in 2nd photo, hope the super ugly bokeh doesn't ruin image for printing large etc. usage.
Helena, great shot of basketball basket, love the composition and square format. I would not been able to resist to make the shot narrow DOF shot, but most probably it's better this way. Also liked the tree shadow photo.
Dalmas, good shot of ice breaking up. I wanted to shoot it this year, but could not find anything suitable on weekend and most probably it's too late next weekend.
Few more samples of 25mm rendering - for reason or another I seem to avoid shooting wide open and preferring f/2.8, didn't think it when I was shooting, but now seeing images in computer it's quite obvious:
"Firestone" - Carl Zeiss Distagon T* 2/25 @ f/2.8, 1/50s, ISO 400
"Cart wheel 1" - Carl Zeiss Distagon T* 2/25 @ f/2.8, 1/80s, ISO 400
"Cart wheel 2" - Carl Zeiss Distagon T* 2/25 @ f/2.8, 1/80s, ISO 400
This thread is moving so fast so it is hard to keep up. On this page:
- Z very nice street set (Samuli would probably call them overexposed ;-)
- Dalmas, I know this city, nice to see some more ZE50P
- Samuli, that lens (25/2) seem so nice in your hands, all are outstanding shots. The 25/2 would probably fit me better than the ZE21 I have as a FL. It's a shame it's so expensive. And seriously, thanks for the exposure tip.
Helena's norwegian basket image on last page is just awesome, and Ulffs #2 that has a great feel of depth!
Here are two more 50P then a 85P from today in super extreme spring light.
Thanks very much Samuli, I was lucky to be there just as the ice disappeared. One day later and it was all gone. I see what you mean with stopping down slightly. Sometimes a little more DOF makes the picture. That 25mm is some lens.
Thanks Wilhelm, It's a nice city we live in, isn't it.
I like your shots and especially the last two.
