As mentioned by a couple of folks already, it is quite difficult to catch up with all photos especially if one is > 2 or 3 pages behind!
Luka: I was tempted to say haze for the first photo but it seemed localized to that area and I didn't remember,so I left it at that. W.r.t the trees, it is all ambient + fill in LR. There is no bounce light. The exposure is still "hotter" than I would have liked and I still had shadows (that were visible in reality) that got clipped. Still, decent amount of range from one file, although a few stops more latitude wouldn't have hurt !
Samuli: Hee hee, this one was fun leveling. Take a look at the trees and they are all gently tapered and are all angled in slightly different directions! I picked one in the left just off center to make it straight and then make the overall frame look more or less similar to what I recall. But after you replied, I am thinking maybe it would have been better to level it with the most dominant object [big foreground tree to the left].
The 2nd photo with 50MP: yes I have noticed the smearing in many photos with busy detail and I think several folks here have showed examples of the same. Doesn't bother me really ! But I am impressed at the level of detail you look at pics - thanks
edward: "Father and Son" is my favorite! The grain adds to the stubble. I kind of like the look though [grain]
DubaiPhil: I like the BW shot of the fabric [?] that almost like Sand dunes [without the ridges running through]
Samuli: Loved the composition and gentle light and layered look in "Gröbming Church, Austria". Beautiful.
Kururu: 2nd , 3rd and 4th are my picks!
Manu : Very, very nice flower picture ! Beautiful - subject pops out due to both focus and color contrast!
edgately: 1st one and 3rd one are my favs - lovely!
Been up and about with my new found love; the 1.4/85. I've been doing some fiddling with my viewfinder and afterwards nailing focus is really no problem (or no more problem than with any MF lens)
All wide open on D700. Really nothing spectacular artistically;
Abhijeet : very nice, color and contrast are all first rate.
Rodluvan : Glad to see I'm not the only one using the 85P. All are nicely done but love especially mood, expression & composition of the 2 nd one!
@ Rodluvan & Lieutenant Z: is it of considerable value to add an 85P to this line up? 21mm - 35/2 - 50P - 100/2? asking you because you both also have a 100/2.

It's a matter of taste but imo 85 P and 100MP are both great lenses but with very different rendering.
85P is demanding but also rewarding. If you enjoy the 1.4 rendering I think it's wort it.

Typically when I go shoot with 85P it's the only lens I have or then I pair with one of the wide angles, great lens for exhibitions etc. indoor stuff, however outdoors I find it too short as my longest lens, at least in nature. 200mm ZE + 85P would be lovely nature shooting combo...
I'm not so good explaining, so better post some photos, which I think show some typical things about 85P, at least what I expect from it - warning REPOST!!! close your eyes if you have seen this already

I sold the 2/100 and kept the 85P that should tell you something
Me personally (obviously) would not get both (85 and 100) unless I did macro as well. Which one you chose to keep should be a matter of personal taste regarding drawing style and above all: focal length.
The 85 does produce some pretty obvious CA (but so does 100MP). The focus shift it is shamed for is definitely an exaggerated internet rumor. Sure it has some, but it's not very bothersome or even noticeable working at moderate distance.
morpheus289: nice rendering from 1.4/35.
samuli: thanks for the green trees, I'm a little bored here with brown.

@dgjean - Fantastic shot with the Makro-Planar 100mm .
I'm finally getting around to editing the shots taken during my trip to India in November. This is a series I did with an elephant keeper who does all the weddings in Delhi.
All shots are with the Distagon T* 1,4/35mm. I find this lens just draws incredibly well and with a special magic. That being said, I can't wait to try out the 25mm especially after seeing Philber's shots.
Samuli - You justify HDR quite eloquently. I pretty much gave up on PS's HDR plug-in as I could never achieve natural look with it. Thanks for the 85 shots. i remember many of them, but would not know which page to look. That snow shoes shot is incredible with 1.4.
Edward - Provia 100 shots, I like the grain level. Lovely color rendition.
edgately - Amazing crater shot.
abhijeeth - Gorgeous shot. Especially viewing on large monitor, definition comes out very strong.
Rodluvan - nice showcasing of 85 on street. Besides I just enjoy your street works, what I enjoy as a bonus is the capture of Northern European fashion style. First shot with two gentlemen, very well dressed and yet, very different from what I am used to see these days in downtown NYC, where fashion is technically absolutely dead. ( Unlike Paris, and the rest of Europe, NY is way too conservative in terms of fashion.)
Dergiman -Some explicitly arbitrary shot from the ZE35/2 lnteresting idea. My eyes are drawn to the graffiti on the white wall.
morpheus2891 - I like the drift wood shot and the lighting.
Lieutenant Z - Lovely portrait with 85. First shot has great atmosphere with technically all molten background.
anthonysemone - I like your capture of your dog's expression.
kururu - I really like the #1 with the composition and context, adds narrative to the shot. Great capture of frozen snow flake. Definitely adding to the shot. Link for #3 seems to be broken at the moment ??
Gary - Beautiful winter shot with 25. #2 is my fav.
Ron - Great set. Three shots to depict one event ( object ). Well, even if they are shots from different object, in my mind, they formed one structure I really enjoy the texture and the overall mood of the series.
