Diplonesis, sublime imagery! It seems you have excellent light at your disposal. Could you share a few tips on how you processed them?
te4o, excellent close ups, agree with Edward on the colors
Bob, your last shot is excellent. I bet its the 50 MP?
A couple of test shot from my newly acquired Zeiss ZM 25 f/2.8 (Nex 5N). Using it for the first time, I immediately love what I saw. My impression is the lens is in the same league as my ZF 21. Truly stellar lens.
Keep these images coming, I've got an eye on this lens...! Doubt about this or the ZM 35/2...
In my opinion, the stand outs of the ZM line is the 25 and the 50. Sure, I'll happily post more but just be done and purchase the 25 (I've had the 35 in the past) .
Anyway, who said the 2.8/21 was immune to sun flares? This is @ ƒ/8! Rather irritating.
Guess you didn't read enough of the early days of this thread.
I remember commenting on the 21 being prone to flaring more than i expected and having more vignetting than I expected when I got my copy several years ago. Still my favorite landscape lens though. My 14-24G and TS-E 17 are also prone to flaring so I guess it is all relative.

Of course you did not have any filter on right ?? More than half of the time I had the trouble, I forgot I had Clear filter on.
Shooting into the sun, flare is quite common on the 21D at all apertures, even without a filter. At apertures starting from f11, you begin to get more definition in the sunstars, but the flare spots are always there.
Luka, Abhi, te4o, ltruong8: great shots! Jim: interesting rendering in both pictures. The first reminds me a bit at the Rokkor 58mm. I'm looking forward to more picture with the 50P from you.

Congratulations on the ZM 25. Beautiful shots! I agree that this lens is on the same level as the Distagon 21 and it doesn't flare easily too.

The ZM 35/2 has some veiling haze wide open, not much and quite esthetically pleasing. At 2.8 it becomes stellar. That would be a tough choice. I got both
Luka, nice serenity in your shot
Jim, love the colors on the barn shot. Agree on the sharp wide open at infinity range for the 50 Planar.
Daniel, put it into your usual street shooting..you'll love it.
Edward, thanks! I just immediately liked what I saw when taking my first shot, perhaps its the rendering. And its petite comparing it to the 21 ZF, although quite big compared to the 35 or 50 ZM.
About the 35, while I liked it also, didn't see the magic so trade it in for 35 cron ASPH. The cron is better but to my surprise, not that much better..
The zm 35/2 is known for its 3D and high contrast. But somehow it looses some of the magic when used on crop sensors. The zm 25 is a very well corrected lens without any discernible FC and SA. It works equally well on FF and crop.
