Reza very nice B&W with 1.4/35
Frezeiss : lovely set
Tony : wow your second shot is just gorgeous! Love color, bokeh and overall rendering
PictureThis : great portrait, nice expression
Jochen : nicely done B&W portrait
Edward : like your last set
Hi everyone. I posted a couple of shots some time ago with my 35/2 on a 7D. Last week I made use of the new 5DIII announcement to buy a new 5DII for a good price! Needless to say I am very pleased with the upgrade and I can see the 35 becoming permanently attached to the camera! 21 is on the horizon......
Anyway here's a few from an early start at Bondi Beach this morning...
Edward: First B&W for me. Film grains adds to the feel of this shot.
Jochen: Lovely portrait.
Here are some images from Florida [Gulf of Mexico side]. 5d2 + 21D.
I finished what appears to be a not so good monitor calibration so I am yet unsure of the tones of these images [especially the last one where vignetting is left as is].
abhijeeth, 2nd shot is very moody anfd lovely.
Daniel, the second one is excellent! I'm trying to do more SP at the moment and it seems the NEX is what I prefer over the D700. Do you have any good SP links?
The third one is my favorite among the three. Got there and the place was overcast all day. The pre-dawn like light lasted a long time and I could take my time and slowly try out different things.
Rodluvan: Nice street scenes. The 35/2 and 50 1.4 are two of the ZE lenses that I *have* to try. I love their signature styles. The 50 1.4P especially, is an acquired taste. I seem to like it more and more as time progresses. Fighting hard with myself not to disturb my existing setup [21ZE + 50MP + 100CY]
I just picked up the 50MP and the 100MP to go with my 35 f2. Here's a quick first couple of pics from the 50MP. Having lazy dogs helps with the picture taking.
Smridevan, Reza, abhijeeh, Edward, Lieutenant, Lars - Thank you !
Smridevan - nice color of the dome
abhijeeth - the recent ocean shots are great. Thanks for the cropping advice.
Ron - Gorgeous set. Your color always amazes me. First shot is quite surreal.
Edward - Enjoying your film shots. The high ISO series has very nice atmosphere. Real film grain is very nice. I also liked the shot from a cab ride. The little thing he is hanging in his car tells the story.
Lieutenant Z - Wonderful sets. I enjoy your shots a lot. Statue ( recent one ) against blue sky is stunning. Also, shots of back-lit people crossing street car rail ( few pages back) are superb. Great timing, composition, and mood.
nickson- Nice to see your work again. Nice capture.
frezeiss - Nice absract series. #2 is my fav
reza187 - I like the old film look on the flower. Nice composition on the pagoda shot. I wish I could travel a lot, but have not that much these days. Most of my recent shots are from NY area.
anthonysemone - Very nice color of the flower shot
steveu - beautiful composition. BW works very well on this shot.
Picture This! - Nice portrait
uscmatt99 - Brilliant POV on the multiple reflections on building surface. I also like the last one, lonely snow scapes.
Jochenb - WOW that is a superb work.
CVickery - Nice VP. I like the convergence.
northerner1975 - Congrats on your FF camera. Enjoying your pov. track on sand is defintely my fav.
Bob - I am jealouse !! The idea of lying on a beautiful sandy beach watching the sun set is just so great. Beautiful shots. Gorgeous color !
Rodluvan - Timing and composition of #2 is classic Rodluvan shot. Brilliant.
cellison - Congrats on your new lenses. #1 is lovely. Very cute !
Nice! But veeeery grainy. Have you tried Tri-X @ 3200? I don't think it's a bit worse, rather the opposite. You can find some examples here: http://www.fotosidan.se/blogs/hertsius/handhallen-morkerfotografering-med-film-far-digitalfotografering.htm
All of those where shot with ZF 50/1.4 wide open at 1/15 or slower, so they are of course not sharp at all, but I'm surprised by how well the film did. Edit: Stand development in Fomadon R09 1:70 for 2 hours with agitation every half hour.
