Markus, really great flower images, escpecially the first three.
Regarding the great mosque-images from Dubaiphil: for non-muslims it is probably not allowed/possible to visit these places or are there different rules in Dubai?

I don't know if there are exemptions but in all the places I've been you're very welcome to enter the Mosque, and it's a very welcoming place contrasting the stereotypical islamic environment we see on tv in the west. Just as you have to observe the rules in the Vatican visiting St Paul's Cathedral you have to observe the rules in the Mosque, like taking off your shoes (which bring an even more homely feeling walking the soft and beautiful carpets).

My information is only from Morocco where it was not possible to visit the inside of any mosque, at least not in the past. Either the rules have changed or (more likely) there are different rules in different islamic countries.
Rodluvan - great street photos.
Martynas - nice ice.
akul - like #1 most - how do you process these b+w?
liqpics - great sparse colour in the bike detail.
ulff - superb set of flowers - colours are beautiful.
...the mosque pics on the last few pages are superb. Incredible detail.

I have visited mosques in Egypt, no problem. I think different countries are different.
Thank you Bob. Light was a bit too harsh, so it blew out of DR.
Ulff - I like the set of flowers. Like a very nice set of cards. Delicious color.
eardrumbuzz - I process B/W with photoshop BW filter. Playing around with color channel slider to get the look I want. This series, I tried the contrasty look, got a bit carried away. Still playing

Boris - it depends on which country you're in. I've never tried to go into a mosque in Dubai but there is one (Jumeirah Mosque) on the tourist trail which allows organised tours and walk ins as far as I know.
This mosque that I've photographed is probably the biggest tourist attraction in Abu Dhabi. Free entry but you'll have to wear a white dishdash if you're make and wearing shorts, or an abaya and head scarf if you're a woman
