I have 35mm f2.0. Now I am considering selling this and get 35mm f1.4 or I should keep the 2.0 and buy a planar 50mm 1.4. Any idea would be appreciated.
That's all up to you. 50mm is a very different focal length.
I sold my 35/2 after getting the 1.4 and I don't regret it at all.
I have/tried most of the ZE lineup and the 35/1.4 is becoming my favorite of the bunch.

Interesting. Currently I have 2/35 Zeiss and Canon 35mm F1.4L. I've seen stunning images from 1.4/35 Zeiss, and I wonder if it's worth upgrading my 2/35 Zeiss to 1.4/35, as I already have the 35L. I can't dump my 35L, cos sometimes I need its af.
LIeuteant - I like the #2 very much. Mysterious how things dissolve into darkness. Film Noir.
reza - gorgeous color
Jim- Second shot is amazing. Beautiful the way how stone facade shows so many colors from different light sources ( I assume ).
I am with many of you guys. 35/1.4 shots are gorgeous and killing me, but it is also so hard to think about carrying around 900 grammes lens with fixed 35mm length to trails, as I can only take possibly one more lens max with such weight. Grrrrr.

That last one is awesome, Jim. What did you do in PP?
Thanks for the comments.I was really surprised how this shot turned out as well. When i first saw the finished product after PP i thought it looked very HDR, but all i did was my normal PP a few shadow/contrast/saturation adjustments and that was it.I think the lighting conditions helped it was about an hour before sunset and it was very cloudy and raining out and the building has some natural light from the windows.
