Gunzorro, I like of course the night shot better because of the color lighting. Do you have any at that time with the T/S 24? What building is this? Could you have shot it with the T/S 17 close so that building support arch would be right up close? This one was easier, because you are taking it from an overpass, higher above the ground level. Glad you like the IQ of the 1ds3. I have enjoyed for awhile now but eagerly look forward to their 40MP replacement soon. Been trying to resist buying any more lenses to save up for it.
Smridevan, Nice portraits of the hottie photographer and the mellow mushroom girl.
Jochenb, like the composition and space rendered by the 21 there.
Siddhu, Nice bokeh and sharpness in the dog portrait.
Jim, Nice colors in the tractor.
akul -- I'm sure you'd like the Canon 24TS. It is one of the best lenses in their entire line for optical quality. Really, 28 or 24, they are quite close, but you can always crop into a 24, but it is very difficult to add what isn't there to a 28! Yes, the final choice of angle was the 35/2 ZE on the 1DS3 (the 21/2.8 ZE was the choice on the 60D, shot simultaneously). I didn't correct the vertical, leaving that to the graphics designer -- they get the RAW files to work from. Vertical wasn't critical anyway -- there are no vertical references of any importance!
Wayne -- This is the Encounter restaurant at LAX.
These two shots are essentially from the beginning (set-up/ lens choice @ 6:30) and the end of the sequence (7:45). There is no time to change positions on this type of shot, where the client has chosen the preferred angle. Once the camera tripod is planted, it stays there until the end of the shoot. If the shot weren't so specified, yes, I could run around and gather a bunch of interesting angles. I'm sure there would be some intriguing shots from ground level closer up with an UWA lens. But that was not the criteria, and I don't usually go on "fishing expeditions" while on assignment. I was on the 4th floor of the parking stucture, just above the "departures" (upper level) access road between terminals.
Gunzorro: The night shot is obviously the one you wanted to show and it's pretty good!
Nickson: Nice shot with the 35/2!
Smridevan:Great shots with the 100/2, it can be hard to handhold it sometimes if you're shooting near wide-open.
Siddhu:Tat dog is almost popping out of my screen!
Thanks Akul, Wayne, alkanphel. The focus on the Canon camera was actually by accident. It's really hard focusing on the puny D90 viewfinder without a focusing screen. I rely mainly on the focus confirmation dot as a guide.
Jochenb, excellent landscape shot.
Frezeiss, very beautiful texture and tone.
Rji2goleez, nice sunset.
UC, beautiful details. I really like the leaf shot.
Akanphel, nice shade!

jojomon11- Grerat shot showcasing 35 1.4
jojomon11, Philippe, Carsten - Thank you very much for your kind words.
Carsten - Yes, slowly catching up with processing. I am done from the vacation shots ( it feels like ages ago ! ) Hard to find time to process photos though. Quickly I get back logged. I am sort of trying to treat nature and cityscape with the same attitude.
Thanks Smridevan and Akul for your positive comments. #2 is my favorite too.
akul: very subtle greens in #3
bobring: what a bokeh in #3!
Jim Schemel: as always: you've got a great eye for composition of colours and forms.
frezeiss: devastation is horrible, but also photogenic subject.
