I recently bought one too (ZE) and I loved it right away. Sold my 35/2 soon after and I'm not looking back.
The f2 is sharper wideopen, but I think the 1.4 if also excellent at 1.4
The only complaint I have is the CA.
I think despite the size/weight the 1.4 is an awesome allrounder.
Excellent bokeh, great look for portraits, better micro-contrast than the f2,...
Jim, very nice! I really like your photography style. You're one of a few photographers here with a very unique photographic view of the world. I can tell from most of your pictures alone that they were shot by you, even without looking at your name first.

Luka, I have always liked your shots. Part of it has been a nostalgia for Europe, and your picturesque shots of your city satisfy that. In your Southwest shots, the scenery does a lot of the work, but you have found some unique compositions there too.
The truck shot, however, shows your real eye and artistry. Taking about as humble and banal a subject as one could imagine (the @ss end of the truck, no less) and coming up with this composition merging form and color is brilliant. Great eye.
Jim
Thanks! That shot was taken at a gas station in the middle of nowhere in Wyoming. It was a pretty desloate, empty environment and for some reason that particular composition seemed to me to capture the mood of the place. Don't ask me why though

Yu, Jim, I have to agree with the others, your carts shot is nothing short of superb! BTW, I went back to the Orangerie, and shot wide open, just for you. I shall post the results totmorrow.
Thanks again to all.Just trying to keep up with all the nice shots that have been put up lately.
- MichaD, i really had no choice but to shoot wide open as it was early in the morning and it was still a bit dark.I figured since the row was all at the same depth that it should be ok.Also it sure doesn't hurt that the 100ZE is already very sharp WO
@Jochenb: very nice bokeh and depth.
@Jim: it's got your "flat patterns" signature and I like it very much.
@AbramG: nice B&W conversion.
@melbmanu: did you use HDR? If so, great job at keeping the colours natural, if not it's still a good job

Thanks for the comments everyone! The 21mm was a great lens to use that day.... However, the lighting was very harsh and the gritty/coarse stone made things challenging. I think I will try to get back there (Cambodia) again in the next month or so... It is truly an amazing place!

Great temple shots Gary. Where are they from?
And also very nice from philber and Jochenb
Thanks Lars. These were taken at Ta Prohm - a Buddhist temple in Cambodia. The same location of that Nat Geo cover shot with the strangler tree covering a doorway. Great location - wish I had more time to take some pics....
Very very nice images all of you! School and work keep me extremely busy leaving no time for photography. However, I come here to take my mind off all the busy work.. Thank you for all the nice contributions
Luka, the gas tanker shot really appeals to me. Actually the wide open space behind it .. Lived in Idaho (state immediately west of Wyoming) for four years.
