Hello, I have just registered to this forum, and I would like to voice my appreciation to all for the fantastic contribution that has made this thread a fountain of knowledge on Zeiss Z lenses, which I have generally been reading about with great interest since Zeiss first introduced them. I still own a Hasselblad with 4 very nice lenses, but am on the verge of either getting a digital back, and retaining a relatively cumbersome system, or turning it all into a more practical 135 ff system that I will be able to utilise more readily in everyday life. I know it’s a little off topic though I guess it does have relevance, but as you continue to show us what you got could some of you please add a little about what enlargement you can retain exhibition-quality prints of your ‘wallhangers’. Without getting into any of the more subtle benefits of the larger format, this would probably be the single most relevant factor for me in deciding the next move. Thank you.

Gary, your series is very strong! Were these taken in the Philippines?
Hey Carsten - thanks for the comment. These photo's I have been posting recently have all been from my trip to Cambodia a few weeks ago. After I work through these, I will get to the Vietnam pics. We have been doing a lot of travelling while we have been over here - mainly to escape the hectic life of living in Manila.

Welcome arionelli!
What works for sure with a FF camera like the Canon 5D MkII is up to 70 x 100 cm, lambda print.
Hey guys, thank you very much for the compliments. I appreciate it very much.
Here's another with the ZE 85, it's still taking some work to fully get used to it, I still have trouble using it up close a lot of times, but overall not too bad
Robert, you have posted some very nice shots, but in all of them I see extreme artifacts, possibly too-low JPG quality, or maybe too much sharpening. How did you sharpen, resize and export these?
I am sorry, people. You know, a newbie and always experimenting and not exactly knowing how to sharpen, resize and export.. MichaD, hopefully you get your eyesight back by tomorrow morning when you wake up
From what i have heard and read the 85ZE was designed to perform best @ infinity stopped down.Your shots confirm these reports.

Jim,
Yes I have heard the same thing, it does seem to excel at the infinity distance but it's great by f/2 honestly (at least my copy is) f/1.4 isn't tack sharp, but it's more than usable for most scenarios.
It's tricky up close though, that's where I struggle with the lens.
